Reagan was a piece of shit, just FYI

Reagan's best quote as governor of California was when he was trying to pass legislation to log the redwood forests, justifying it by saying "If you've seen one redwood, you've seen them all." Brilliant.

Vastly overrated president.

Reagan was greatest President in over 100 years.  Period.  His record and slaughter of Democrat opponents speaks for itself.

If you have audio of the Clintons — or any dem — referring to black people as monkeys, we will call them racists pieces of shit, too.

He was a great actor.  He made you and other dumbasses think he was a good president.

Too bad for you that not only were the results phenomenal, but he kicked the snot out of both Democrat candidates.   You libtards flail every time when you try to denigrate Reagan.

It's pretty bad when a president's chief accomplishments include winning elections. That's pretty much the minimum entrance requirement for becoming president...

on second thought, since Trump and W made it in without winning the popular vote, I see why you admire it in Reagan.

Reagan was a great public speaker, second only to Obama as far as president's in my lifetime. Also he did a good job of not dying when somebody shot him. That's really all I've got for him in the plus column.

In the negative's I've got:

  1. arming and supporting murderers and rapists in Nicaragua
  2. arming and supporting Islamist militants that would go on to terrorize the US and its allies
  3. supporting organized crime indirectly with 'the war on drugs' and directly with cocaine traffickers to support illegal ops.
  4. slow rolling the response to AIDS
  5. cozying up to South Africa under apartheid
  6. Reagonomics. it didn't so much create the upswing of the 80s as it fixed who would profit from it.
  7. War spending. It's often argued that Reagan's spending accelerated the demise of the USSR but the actual evidence of that is pretty weak.
  8. Racist piece of shit. See video in OP.

Reagan was re-elected as President with the largest electoral college victory in US history.  Only a libtard would find that meaningless.

He changed the course of the Cold War through the Reagan Doctrine, and played a key role in ending the cold war.

He introduced the Strategic Defense Initiative, which paved the way to give the US a competitive advantage in the field of missile defense.

His economic policy resulted in a considerable decrease in unemployment and inflation.  Reagan inherited a misery index of 19.99%, and when he left office it had dropped to 9.72%.  Under Reaganomics, 16 million new jobs were created.

Reaganomics led to one of the largest peacetime economic booms in US history.

Reagan took unprecedented firm action when PATCO went on strike.

He introduced strict legislation for drug offenses.

Ronald Reagan is considered one of the most influential presidents in US history.   Reagan was made an Honorary Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath, one of the highest British orders. Japan awarded him the Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum, the highest Japanese order.  Ronald Reagan received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor of the United States.   And on and on and on.

Not gonna let that slide.  Monetary policy was already on the mend with the policies of Paul Volcker and the independent Fed, not the political fiscal policies of the day.

That involves looking past just the initial number. They can't do that.

These same retards blame Obama for the deficit when Bush signed the stimulus into effect a month before Obama took office.
