Heard more positive about Tajae Sharpe ...

But honestly every time I hear about Tajae Sharpe making plays in practice I feel like it's wasted highlights better reserved for Corey Davis or even AJ Brown.

As has been proven ... the chances of Sharpe turning great practice performances into great regular season performances are slim unfortunately.

Taylor is pretty much the same.  The only difference is that when they get in games, Taylor can't catch the ball while Sharpe can't get open.  Too bad you can't combine their strengths, then you'd have a good WR.

With all these injuries to the offensive players, how do they expect to see any chemistry?

Sigh ...

For the past three days, the Tennessee Titans offense had struggled against its own defense, especially in the red zone.
So, one of the narratives put out when the New England Patriots arrived Wednesday for the first of two joint practice sessions, was that a clearer picture of Tennessee’s offense might come into focus after work against a different opponent.

For the most part on Wednesday, the Titans offense again seemed to struggle to find a rhythm and any consistency.
At its worst, in a team drill where all the play were intermediate and occasional deep throws, quarterback Marcus Mariota completed just 1 of 6 throws in that period.

In that drill, second team QB Ryan Tannehill was intercepted by J.C. Jackson for what would have been a Patriots pick six. Tannehill later, in another drill, had a pass batted by defensive lineman Deatrich Wise and picked off by rookie linebacker Chase Winovich.

Cosell kinda tore into Mariota today for his throw to Jennings against the Eagles.

He said the same thing as Beddingfield that it was a 7 step drop Mariota turned into 9 for no reason and that caused him to miss what should be an automatic pitch and catch. There’s no excuse for a 5th year QB to make that kind of footwork mistake. He’s just sloppy and apparently can’t get it fixed.

He blasted him for way more than just that throw

Basically said he didn’t have nuances to that require success at the position and it had nothing to do with changing OCs

Mike Herndon said MM was better than RT but overall the offense was bad

But honestly they had no skill people and it’s barely more than 7 on 7s

I get that keepin Corey healthy for the regular season is critical, but he also needs work, for all his talent he's not a finished product. They seem to be erring on the side of caution when it comes to keeping him out there; hopefully they know what they're doing.

We all know that we don't want either QB to drop back and throw it at the intermediate and deep level at will.  So we are going to look bad during a drill focused specifically on that,  and with passing being the main focus overall.  The hope and realistic expectation is that the running game is good enough and Humphries/Walker/whoever will be effective enough to allow us to throw it on early downs and set up a lot of 2nd -3rd and short and PA.  Not that one of these QBs suddenly becomes something that they are not.

This seems to be the general consensus from the media that was there today.

Would hope that Vrabel is channeling all is his player maintenance program to get as many starters healthy for a full week of practice leading into the Steelers PSG3.

While its highly unlikely you will see a fully healthy team for any long stretch during the regular season, its becoming alarming just how little time the projected starting offense has been on the field as individuals let alone working together as a unit.

Take today as an example there was no Walker/Smith/Henry/Fluellen/Nate Davis who were dealing with injuries/resting, Corey Davis/Brown/Humphries didn't participate on 1v1's and were extremely limited in team drills.

Regardless of who ends up being the QB it is important for them to have as much consistency around them as possible, which simply hasn't happened this offseason so far.
