"The campaign finance violations discussed in the materials are a matter of national importance," Judge William Pauley III said in court papers, denying the government's request for limited redactions. "Now that the government’s investigation into those violations has concluded, it is time that every American has an opportunity to scrutinize the materials."

They will be released at 11 AM this morning

“A motion to unseal documents in a high-profile case such as this one strongly suggests that the matter has concluded,” said Gene Rossi, a former assistant U.S. attorney from Virginia. “If the converse, the documents would have been protected at all costs for investigative purposes. The government does not like to show its cards in an ongoing matter.”

Feds’ probe into Trump hush money payments is over.    You libs were wrong once again on this being a crime by Trump.

A probe being over does not always mean vindication.  Not to go conspiratorial, but there are a fair amount of legitimate questions that will need to be answered about the DOJ under Barr that we probably won't find out for a while.

Or they concluded the probe because Trump can't be indicted while in office.

Or they concluded it was a nothingburger that only libtards wanted desperately for Trump to get in trouble for something.   Any Democrat having done the same thing the left would have cared less.

Brief read through looks like a lot of unethical behavior from Trump's circle and subsequent lies/hushing/minimizing, and a vague discussion of legalities.  Assuming the judge would not sign off on a breach of legal process, and nothing further from the feds, Trump is definitely out of a pickle on this one, at least for now.

From the start this was a nothingburger.  If Trump paid off any of his former affairs with his own money it does not constitute a campaign finance violation.  Period.  Now if the Dems want to argue the immorality of cheating on a spouse.....  talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Infidelity is an equal opportunity sin.  That said, we all know which party used to really try to walk the walk back in the day -- see McConnell's take down Packwood (best name ever, btw).  Post Trump, not morals,... wel,.... not so much.

"From the start this was a nothingburger" -- I read that the feds had the documents under "illegal campaign contributions", so I'm not sure about horn tooting at this point.  Rather I'd say Barr has been Trump's best pickup since the Rams took a flyer on a guy who used to stock grocery store shelves.

Except he didn’t pay them off with his own money, did he?
