Arthur Smith: Titans Will Ride Derrick Henry This Year

Warren Sharpe was on the Ringer today talking about the league overall.

He was asked what teams he thought would do worse than most people think. He said the Lions and Titans. Which I find odd since most people are picking the Titans to do poorly. But Warren Sharpe is pretty good

Duh, who didn't already know this?   The problem is you ain't running to success with this schedule, you have to score points and points come from the passing game.

I'm definitely ready for some "fun heavy" offense!! LOL ?

Henry is in his last year, no reason not to run him into the ground

Pretty hard to be worse than what most the National NFL Media already are projecting for the Titans, the narrative seems to be the Titans are far and away the worst team in the AFC South, the team has a major anchor holding them down in Mariota and the team will only win somewhere between 3 and 6 games this season.

The Titans offense and team would be more successful if we did run like the Seahawks. Mariotas best chance of staying on the field and being productive is if we can successfully run the ball. If Henry and the OL are on their game early in the season, then I expect a rather successful season. I think the first 4 games will tell us what we need to know.

Seattle can run the ball because they Wilson keeps them honest.  With a lesser QB, that offense falls apart

Ye and he was getting traded but turned it around, we remember

Yeah, I remember how much you love to be against something right up until you're for it and vice versa when it suits you.  Nice try at shifting the conversation btw, it almost worked. You and everyone else who pushed that "closer" narrative turned out to be indefensibly wrong.I would try to shift the convo too if I were you.

Eddie George told him he was playing himself out of the league

He was wrong too. Just like you. Another attempt to shift the conversation I see. You can twist/turn and try to distract all you want but the point remains; you were dead wrong about him only being able to run well in the 4th quarter and it was a stupid narrative from the beginning. On to your next deflection.

Everyone was wrong about Derrick Henry. Including Derrick Henry. Only Mythos realized that Henry was playing well regardless.

Seattle ran the ball before Wilson was there. Mariota can keep defenses honest. As long as he is healthy and not trying to do too much. A solid run game and OL fixes the offense. When Murray was leading the AFC in rushing the offense was clicking.

Bullshit I was the one on these boards saying feed Henry and not Lewis before the season even started.

They were 21st in rushing the year prior to his arrival, 3rd in his rookie year.  He transformed that offense.

If we're one of the worst teams in the league this year and have a bunch of expiring contracts (including at QB), how do you not just enter another rebuild?

It what way does it make sense to spend a ton resigning players who apparently aren't helping you win?

Doesn't it also act as an indictment of JRob? If we're back down in the dumps after 4 years of his reign... how do you sell sticking with him?
