They brought in Ryan Tannehill, who has extremely similar numbers throughout his career to Mariota despite playing with lesser talent. The worst part about Mariota is that he's declined in each of the last two seasons, as this is the time in his career where he's supposed to be coming into his own. He's nothing more than a QB3 hopeful despite all the talent around him. Reported by whom? The GM outright said the job was Mariota’s. pat
Mariota has a job because there's maybe 16 winning starting QBs in the NFL. It's not worth a QB controversy for a minor upgrade, but once JRob finds a prospect he likes it will be over. big2033, Mythos27, bosss50, and 1 other 2 1

Vrabel Reiterates that Tannehill is the backup Quote When it comes to who's starting under center for the Titans this season, there's no tumult in Tennessee: Marcus Mariota is the starter and Ryan Tannehill is not. That's the word from Titans coach Mike Vrabel, who reiterated this weekend that Tannehill, whom Tennessee acquired in a trade from the Miami Dolphins, won't be competing for starting snaps in training camp. Versus all the other info right in front of your face? How far did you dig to find this? You muddle the conversation when you do dumb shit like this. You knew this was BS. They've been saying Tannehill was the backup and Mariota was the starter the day they signed him. But knowing Mariota's injury history Tannehill is probably going to get a chance to take this job. No need to lie about it to make a point. That said, if Tannehill actually take the job at some point it means things are much worse lol, Tannehill is not our savior. 9 Nines
It's more interesting that people think that a head coach and GM, confirming who the starting QB will be after signing another QB, is good thing. Evidently the head coach and the GM know that Mariota has a questionable future or neither would have thought they needed to explain the Tannehill deal. Of course if Mariota were better there'd be nothing to explain. But whatever their reasons you were dumb to make shit up. OILERMAN
Robert Mayes was on Barnwell's show today going over different bets for the season they liked. The over/under on yards for Mariota was 3000, Mayes said he'd take the under because Mariota might not even be the starting QB by week 8.
