MVP? Come on, now. What is he without Hopkins?

His offense absolutely sucks besides Hopkins.  Don't make it sound like he's got it made.

The offense went from #1 in scoring to nearly dead last without him last year, if not dead last.  How is that not MVP caliber play?

fuller is a great compliment to Hopkins and Hopkins is friggin insane.

Regardless of his quarterbacking skills Watson has the ability to consistently make big plays. Which puts him ahead.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WatsDe00/red-zone-passing-plays/2018   8 of the 20 TD’s were to Hopkins.  The same number that Mariota had in total

Watson produces with or without Fuller.  Fuller would be just another disappointment on this team

Does DeAndre Hopkins exist in your parallel universe? Can you see how having the best receiver in the league would help a QB produce in the absence of his #2 receiver? You really need to stop trying to have these discussions for your own sake. It's not a good look.

If you can't see that Watson can play and improves that team significantly, you really shouldn't be talking down to anyone.  It's possible for a good QB and WR to coexist on a team and help one another.

Hopkins' catch rate was 55% and 51% in the previous two seasons and he averaged 75 YPG.  It was 70% in 2018 and he averaged 98 YPG.  Hmm, wonder what could have made that difference.

Do you realize that this conversation had nothing to do with QBs until you decided to make it about them? This is all you do, somehow make everything about the QB. Hopkins has been a stud his whole career. It never mattered who the QB was because he is a great player and gets his regardless. Watson is certainly his best QB so far but he isn't the type of player that is defined by his QB. Taylor will always be defined by his QB because he isn't very good.

Why is Taylor being compared to Hopkins?  You say he's not defined by the QB, but he's a hell of a lot more efficient and a hell of a lot more productive than he was just two years ago without him.  And same with Fuller , who had 44 YPG the previous two years and in the low 50% in catch rate.  Watson starts, and he's suddenly averaging 72 YPG with a 70% catch rate.  All behind the worst OL in the league

Watson makes players around him better.. You put good players around him, they become better.  You put bad players around him, he can mask their weaknesses.  I'm sorry that you feel the need to deflect because we don't have a difference-making QB as well.  I definitely feel your pain.

Fuller isn't great but he is a weapon.  Their offense is clearly better when he's on the field.

By the way, it's hilarious that someone would compare TT to Fuller like they are similar in any way when one of them racked up 500+ yards in 7 games and the other one had 466 yards in 16 games.

Fuller had 3 100 games in those 7 games he played.  TT had one.  Barely.

Yea, it's not even close and cherry picking stats just makes it even more painfully obvious than it already was.  When Fuller is healthy he is a FAR better WR than TT.

Fuller averaged 39 YPG before or without Watson in 17-18.  About what Taylor averaged last year, albeit much less efficiently.  He's averaged over 70 YPG and has had a far higher catch rate with Watson.  It's not crazy to think that a QB can have a not-so-minor affect on the performance of his receivers

He averaged 70 YPG and scored 7 TDs per game with Watson in 17.  He averaged 23 YPG with 0 TDs without him in 17.  In his second year.  You know , the one Taylor just completed.  Do you want to call yourself a dumbass, or should I?

Mariota has averaged 200 YPG with an 86 QB rating and 24 TDs to 23 INTs over the past two seasons .  He's, by all accounts, been a shit QB who is absolutely a detriment to the players around him and is closer to Savage than he is to Watson

??

Now TT is better than Fuller even though he's never been as good as Fuller and Tom Savage is basically Marcus Mariota?  Do you even watch football?

I didn't start out comparing him to Hopkins. I started out comparing him to Fuller and then you got all butt-hurt and started deflecting to your disdain of Mariota as an excuse for why Taylor isn't very good. You did this, you and your inexplicable love affair with Taywan Taylor. Everything with you comes back to Mariota. It's honestly tiring to talk with you because regardless of the original topic we always end up back to the same problem. Stay on topic without deflecting or don't bother.

Does Blake Bortles suck because his offense sucks (which it does)?  Or is it because he sucks?  Why is it any different for Mariota?  Just because you can make excuses doesn't mean that they change the fact that a player isn't good

Or that your take is a joke.
