Titans Sign TE / H-Back Ryan Hewitt

I'd mentioned him a few times as a possibility. Can block inline and play H-back. Great signing. He was at the top of my list of available tight ends.

Since the Pats traded for a TE today, I wonder if there was any pressure to complete this deal??

Have been multiple reports at how terrible MyCole Pruitt has looked so far this offseason, so this signing is not surprising.

Can he inline block? There is a big difference in being a good H-back blocker and an inline blocker?

I was thinking more about Smith's recovery

I think it’s more about Smith’s absence and the need for an H back.

Pruitt has been heavily involved though and has had a lot of miscues with the QBs. I think he’ll end up being involved more in the run game than the pass game.

This is how I see it too

They need an H-back to take snaps in training camp and who knows how much longer after that

Pruitt is going to be blocking 95% of the time

We are in big trouble if Pruitt has any meaningful involvement in the passing game.

Lewan has better hands than Pruitt.

Apparently Pruitt is really out of shape.. and it’s hard to figure why Smith has not practiced. .. the reported injury ( grade 3 MCL) should require 3 months to recover .. it’s been 6-7 months ..

Wow that is a retarded move by a league bubble guy.
