Face
He was a lot better the 2nd half of the year but he did play some atrocious passing games. I’m pretty confident in Butler this year but he’s had an odd career. The Saints offered a 1st for him in the 2017 draft, he was considered that good. But then he had a lot of trouble in 2018. Both him & Adoree are unique in that they’re built like slot corners but they both have a lot of trouble against quick, shifty WR’s. On the other hand they basically take the deep ball away. Both are excellent on long balls & taking away downfield routes is more important than anything. As long as Butler plays like he did the 2nd half we’re fine. These guys aren’t lockdown but they rarely get beat deep. Throw on Ryan in the slot & Byard & teams are going to have a tough time dinking & dunking. With the improved pass rush the defense should be a very good bend but don’t break type. It would really be big if Hooker is as good as it sounds. Butler constantly gets beat deep and is great with quick guys and underneath stuff. adoree is great deep and actually really good on every WR he's covered so far (quick or big) not named TY hilton. Starkiller
Butler played well enough early on except that he kept getting beat deep. That’s a big except. If you mostly play well but get beat deep every game then you are hurting the team. I don’t know if he adjusted his game, Pees adjusted the coverages, or what, but teams stopped beating him deep over the 2nd half of the season. That fact alone was huge. He had his best game of the year against Gordon.

BudsOilers
Given the schedule, it will real obvious how good or overpaid the CB’s are. IsntLifeFunny, Justafan, OILERMAN, and 1 other

He averaged 20 yards a catch. If I’m not mistaken a huge chunk of that came against a big play deep over the middle against zone. Ricky
AussieTitanFan08
Really good interview with Vrabel here, not so much about on the field stuff but he opens up on family/media and the Titans coaching staff.
