Like I said before, they should have traded him during the draft. 

 

I wonder if Houston would trade Clowney for him? Not sure he fits their scheme either. 

 

I bet the Falcons would trade for him though. But what would they trade?

 

Btw, I bet they don't officially decline the option and maybe try to trade him before the deadline, so that his new team has the ability to exercise the option if traded in time.

Sucks losing that 2017 2nd and 2016 3rd round pick in hindsight!

 

But then again, they drafted him for Mularkey's run-first power/man blocking scheme, and I guess they thought he was critical for our situation at the time, and he played very well in that scheme. 

 

One of the unintended consequences of switching coaches and blocking schemes.
