Post-draft depth chart

OFFENSE (24)

QB (2) Mariota, Tannehill

Easy

RB (3) Henry, Lewis, Fluellen

Could find a 4th (or a new 3rd) RB from UDFAs.

WR (6) Davis, Brown, Humphries, Taylor, Sharpe, Jennings

Sharpe and Jennings are just placeholders for now. Batson or some UDFA could easily win a roster spot. But the top 3 WRs look better than I’ve seen since the team made it to Nashville.

TE (4) Walker, Jonnu, Pruitt, Firkser

Firkser and Pruitt both looked good enough last year to make the roster. Both will compete for roster spots. Maybe they even only keep 1.

OL (9) Lewan, Saffold, Jones, Pamphile, Conklin, Kelly, Davis, Levin, Stinnie

Grasu is another contender for a roster spot. I’m penciling in Pamphile as the starting RG but there are options here and you can be sure there will be an open competition.

DEFENSE (26)

DL (6) Casey, Jones, Johnson, Urban, Kilgo, Dickerson

Simmons on PUP.  Dickerson and Kilgo could get beat out easily.

OLB (6) Landry, Wake, Correa, Finch, Walker

Gimel President and UDFAs will compete for a roster spot. Wake only plays half the snaps as a pass rush specialist and Landry will have to be kept fresh, too. OLB is a spot where there are lots of snaps to go around.

ILB (5) Evans, Brown, Woodyard, Long, Bates

How are they going to distribute snaps between Evans, Brown, and Woodyard?

CB (5) Butler, Ryan, Adoree, Sims, Tye Smith, Durden

Durden looked like he could make the roster in camp last year. UDFAs will compete again this year.

S (4) Byard, Vaccaro, Hooker, Cruikshank

Could easily keep a 5th, but who?

SPECIAL TEAMS (3)

Kern, Succop, Brinkley

Locks

I think Jennings is safer than Sharpe because he makes less and he's probably the only reliable KR on the roster.  I think they are still kind of weak at DL (NT and another guy who can apply pressure inside).

Spots/positions where a UDFA can take a roster spot:

3rd RB, edge, WR (one with speed preferrably), DL.

As good as Jennings was last year, I think we may have found a new KR (and someone who could lineup all over the field).

A highlight reel basee on 1 reception and 1 pass?

Sidenote: seems kinda slow.

My bad - I was attempting to highlight his versatility lol. He’s admittedly still learning the position (WR) as he’s only been there for a few years + had crappy QB play. Definitely needs some coaching, and to put extra work in. Talent is definitely there though.

Watched more of him. Runs with short choppy steps. Reminds me of a little slot WR we drafted years ago. Something Davis.

Seems a little quick but not too fast.

Ol Chris Davis. Definitely agree he needs refinement/more coaching. When he gets the ball, he can make good things happen which I’m okay with.

I was thinking the same thing, he needs to open up his stride but the speed is there.
