Now here's an idea, @tgo...

Yes, this is what I've had in my offseason plan for awhile. They're very similar players. I can see it happening very soon. And if not Suh, then Urban or Square.

This is definitely my favorite Robinson pick he's made since being GM.    He ignored the noise, ignored the bullshit, ignored the win now pressure, and picked the best football player availa

Man like I said before the draft - you take Simmons at 19 and you don't look back and don't dick around trying to trade down. This was the absolute right thing.

Some of these comments reveal the dumbest logic I've ever seen. Yes, half the teams passed on Simmons but they also passed on anyone else we would've drafted. At least with Simmons we know it was due to injury. What's the excuse for the stud you guys wanted?

What’s your opinion on why teams so very rarely draft players on day one who won’t play their rookie seasons? Are they dumb?

Fletcher Cox

Saw that, but not sure I don’t think they’re all that similar. Their build is a bit different and Cox is a guy who is more flexible with more ankle bend.(like Casey) Jeffery looks more like a more straight line player with more power, leverage and all around athleticism. Similar to Leonard Williams, but that’s not who I’m thinking of. (And Simmons has more explosion than Williams did.)

They're generally succumbing to win-now pressure in the league with uncertain front office and coaching situations.

Suh is a close comp for Simmons imo, although Simmons is longer but maybe a little less strong, but still violent.

So 99% of teams are succumbing to win now pressure (AKA reality) but the Titans are geniuses playing that long game. Ok

I’m not ever going to defend Simmons hitting that woman. But by all rights he has been an exemplary person off the field since that incident. He doesn’t have a long rap sheet or anything that would concern me.

^^^ This.

Suh was really unique. I’ve never seen someone rag doll players like he did, but he lacked that get off, straight line explosion. I’ll keep trying to think of who he reminds me of.

Not necessarily dumb but either they have a really pressing need on their roster that MUST be filled in the 1st (we don't). Or like, you they're so focused on the upcoming season that they can't see the benefit of taking a higher quality player who needs a red-shirt year. You're disappointed that you won't get the instant starter and I get it but please realize that the guy we got will probably be a top 3 player on the team next year. Casey isn't getting any younger and DL like Simmons don't come around every year and when they do, they don't reach pick 19.
