Sorry, I don't see any way in hell we gamble the whole franchise on a QB with shitty accuracy like that. But Jesus, if we did make a move like this you would have to figure they are in love with the guy, because that's the kind of thing that gets GMs and HCs fired super quick. 96 drops in the past 3 years, and he improved to 63% this past year. Anyway, it's the SEC. It is littered with first round talent and teams which actually play defense. Stafford had 57% completion in college, it's not as big of a deal as people make it out to be. He compared him to Alex Smith. Called him an average player. I actually gave him kudos for the eval this year as that's what he's become for the most part and he re-tweeted my message. It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen someone so wrong about something on the football board.
Legaltitan
Looking at the other side of this, us signing Tannehill not only does not rule out drafting Lock, it could be spun as strengthening the likelihood of Lock. As I understand it, Mariota being in the last year of his rookie contract would be very tradeable right now. What if the plan is to trade Mariota, get Lock, and start Tannehill this year while Lock redshirts?

Q: Who do you see as the top quarterback in this class? A: I’ve got kind of a tie. I think it’s the two quarterbacks that everyone is talking about. They’re just diametrically opposite in terms of style of play. You’ve got Jameis WInston whose basically, to me, Jay Cutler 2.0. And you have his opposite counterpoint in Marcus Mariota who, to me, is Alex Smith 2.0. I think both those quarterbacks have some strengths and some weaknesses, but I don’t think either of them is ever going to be anything more than a mid-tier NFL starter in the long-run. Q: If you had to rank these quarterbacks, how would you rank them? Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Teddy Bridgewater, Derek Carr, Blake Bortles, Geno Smith, Luck, Tannehill, RGIII, Russell Wilson A: They would definitely be behind Luck, Tannehill, Wilson. I probably had them behind Geno, I would have to look… Just about every one of those names, they would have been behind. They would have been behind Bridgewater, Carr, Luck and Tannehill and Wilson. Yeah. They would have been near the bottom of that list. Edited April 25, 2019 by big2033
TitanDuckFan
So, between the practice squad and the active roster the Titans will keep 4 QBs? Interesting. You think they'll keep Lock as a 3rd QB on the active roster to avoid him being poached from the PS? JRob isn't dumb enough to put a 1st rnd pick on the PS, so what is the alternative? Or is JRob looking to trade Marcus or Tannehill sometime in the next 3 days/nights? Inquiring minds,... LOL EagleEye

The only way he’s getting traded is if we pay a fairly large portion of his contract, which I think is possible. EagleEye

Yeah...it’s 2019. We’ve had around a 40 page thread on Albright and his love for Mariota. Might as well stop now.

Was Drew Lock saying he met with the Titans coaches multiple times a lie? Look, odds aren't hight that we draft him, imo. But the Titans clearly had some interest in the guy unless Lock is just flat out lying, which makes no sense. big2033, tgo, and Mythos27
