If MM turns the corner this year, all these moves will look brilliant because the team will be winning and winning a lot. If not, then draft picks and FA pickups alike look like mediocre/bad moves. The team is plenty good enough to win with good QB play. Everyone knows this, and it's why all threads eventually become MM threads. From my perspective, there's really not any heat on JR. If MM turns into a healthy franchise QB, then we win now and everyone is happy. If not, then JR gets to pick his QB and he only gets on the hot seat if his chosen QB fails. This. I don’t understand why more people don’t grasp this. Huston

I’m confused by the argument because you’ve been making two entirely separate ones. He was just showing us someone else in the media agreed with him I guess and 9 was just tagging along as usual. Do you think it's possible a lot of the fans who pay for seats are not aware of the vast difference? You are putting me in a bad spot because I like the signing. BUT signing Wake would be icing on the cake of signing a Ford or Barr or a player like them.

headhunter
Im starting to be cool with a TE. Our offense was the worst Ive seen before Henry got hot. It was painful to watch. I think Hock now has a chance to be there at 19 now. AvgJoe

Give him some time to see how Delaine works and learn from him. Better than getting one next year and expecting him to produce day one. We have some trade value with one of the others, maybe not a lot but they could start accumulating picks.

Recently a pundit described the blocking of a great TE like Gronk as having a 3rd OT, allowing double teams by the guard/center or RG/RT. So a great blocking TE that's big enough to win against a 280lb DE/OLB becomes even more attractive at 19, and as they get more comfortable with the passing concepts and scheme, steps into a dominant pass-catching role in the mold of a Kelce. That's forward thinking. The game is changing and special TE's don't ever hit the market. It not necessarily what the Titans will do, but it's in the realm of possibility.
