He was a ram for 9 years all thru their horrible fisher teams up til now so alot of the fanbase respects him highly.

And during that time Saffold outplayed both of the Rams’ epic busts Josh Smith and Greg Robinson. The only thing that worried me about him was his shoulders, but I guess he’s been healthy for a while now.

Scheduled to have 76M in cap space next year before factoring in these new deals and without Mariota's deal.

Cut Kline and save 5M

Figure Mariota will cost 25-30M of that if they keep him. 11M for Conklin. Probably 12M for Saffold. 9M for Humphries. 7M for Vaccaro. Then a shit ton for Byard, then you have to pay Henry on the franchise tag or whatever if he plays well.

WHEW

Logan Ryan will be a FA

Probably going to have to cut Da'Quan and possibly Malcolm Butler. Possibly Delanie Walker. Logan Ryan is more important than any of those players. In 2020, Jonnu should be ready to take over for Delanie Walker as the starter.

And the cap likely goes up by another 10-20m making all of this not as big of a deal.

Resigning Byard becomes the priority before camp as well as Logan Ryan. Salary cap should never be a killer that it once was for teams.

It’s not a killer but it’s obviously a limiting factor.

Adding guard Rodger Saffold is a major boost to the Titans offense. Saffold was 3rd among all guards in ESPN's Pass Block Win Rate (min. 300 blocks) powered by NFL Next Gen Stats last season. Saffold held his blocks for at least 2.5 seconds 87.4 percent of the time.

Ok I'm all Homered out for now.

i love that we went and got him. Oline guys can play into their mid 30's at a high level pretty easily.

what worries me most though is that the weak point of our offense last season was pressure directly in mariotas face on the inside-right. We havent done anything to fix that.  Jones and cline still need help and we dont know how conklin will fare.

I do think Conklin will be much better this year but i'm not expecting much from kline/jones. Hopefully D Kelly, Pamphille, and out Draft pick bring the heat and are given chances to start.

Yeah I figured interior O line would be a big, if not the biggest need to address. I would like to see an upgrade at center. Maybe they have their eyes on someone in the draft.
