Hard to see them picking up his 5th year option now, no way they have Lewan at $18.2 million, Saffold at $11 million and Conklin at $13 million in 2020

It's not out of the question. Tackle is the most important spot on the roster behind QB. If you're going to pay big money for players, that's the position to do it at.

But who knows.

Conklin would have to return to form after some questionable play post injury.

They could also resign him prior to the 5th year option and structure his contract more team friendly. Time will tell. This year will be a prove it year for him.

As they should be!

Exactly, you give your QB the best chance to succeed no matter who it is.

Scheduled to have 76M in cap space next year before factoring in these new deals and without Mariota's deal.

Cut Kline and save 5M

Figure Mariota will cost 25-30M of that if they keep him. 11M for Conklin. Probably 12M for Saffold. 9M for Humphries. 7M for Vaccaro. Then a shit ton for Byard, then you have to pay Henry on the franchise tag or whatever if he plays well.

WHEW

Logan Ryan will be a FA

Probably going to have to cut Da'Quan and possibly Malcolm Butler. Possibly Delanie Walker. Logan Ryan is more important than any of those players. In 2020, Jonnu should be ready to take over for Delanie Walker as the starter.

This is huge.

We may keep Conklin and he will have a better year with Leeann, Saffold, Jones and Kline on the OL

then he will enter fifth year and we will trade him.

We may trade him now for a 2 or 3

or use pick 19 and Conklin to move into top 10

Yeah next season could very interesting.

We could hypothetically have 3 new starters on the OL and a new starting QB (depending on the year Mariota has)

Butler could also be released next year if they want to save more money if they wanted.

He was a ram for 9 years all thru their horrible fisher teams up til now so alot of the fanbase respects him highly.

And during that time Saffold outplayed both of the Rams’ epic busts Josh Smith and Greg Robinson. The only thing that worried me about him was his shoulders, but I guess he’s been healthy for a while now.
