Prosecutors said the scheme was masterminded by William Rick Singer, the founder of a for-profit college preparation business based in Newport Beach, California.

Parents paid Singer between $15,000 and $75,000 per test for someone else to take the SAT or ACT exams in place of their college-aged sons or daughters, according to the court papers.

Singer facilitated the cheating by advising students to seek "extended time on the exams, including by having their children purport to have learning disabilities in order to obtain medical documentation that ACT," the indictment says.

Prosecutors said Singer used the cash to bribe two people who administered the exams — Igor Dvorsiky, of Los Angeles, and Lisa "Niki" Williams, of Houston.

Dvorsiky and Williams, in exchange for receiving the payments, allowed Mark Riddell, a Florida man hired by Singer, to secretly take the tests or to replace the children’s answers with his own, according to the indictment.

Riddell was paid roughly $10,000 per test, money that was often funneled through a charity account set up by Singer, the indictment says.

The amount of greed in this country is truly amazing; it's like there's nobody left unwilling to completely sell out their integrity if the price is right.

It's about higher education, so it's definitely not about the Cons.

Because they have the money, but not "build a new library" money, and their kids aren't super smart.

I wonder how many poor, deserving minorities were rejected to accept these upper class frauds... In all seriousness though, if you need someone else to take your SAT's for you you clearly wasted your upper-middle class privilege.

Lori Loughlin's Daughter Olivia Said She Didn't 'Really Care About School' Before Heading to College

[From her YouTube channel:]

"But I do want the experience of, like, game days, partying…I don't really care about school, as you guys all know."

LMFAO

She's decent looking.  I'm sure she could have made "other arrangements" with the admissions staff in order to get accepted if her parents didn't go for the bribery option.

In all seriousness.  Holy fuck.  They got these people dead to right.  Here's one of the racketeering indictments:

The amount of proof and details against the college coaches and SAT test administrators is mind blowing.

The parents who paid the money will probably walk.  The people that accepted the bribes are going to jail.  Lots of college coaches have been fired today over this.

Here's the full list of everyone that has been charged:

2 actresses were involved.

Felicity Huffman was one.

Wtf? Lol

They're getting most of the press, but they'll just get a slap on the wrist.

The college coaches, SAT/ACT test administrators, the surrogate test takers, and the agents that accepted and passed on the bribes are the ones that are going to do hard time.  What they did was totally fucked up.  Fake athletic profiles, doctored SAT tests, surrogate test takers, phony charities that were served as fronts for the bribes, etc... They have phone transcripts, bank records, you name it.

The coaches were all fired as soon as the news broke of the racketeering indictments.  Racketeering!!

Yeah I heard most of that on the radio. I'm just trying to understand why these actresses would be involved at all.
