0% from black voters in that new South Carolina poll... Dude is basically DOA there (obviously there's a lot of time to recover!!).

it's crazy how big the race divide is in these polls.

It's not just Mayor Pete that fails to attract black voters.  Bernie had the same problem last year.

As of today, this is essentially a three person race....Biden, Sanders, Harris, possibly Warren.

The others can pack their bags and save the money.

Why is there something wrong with his butthole? Too bad for Chasten eh?

It is always amazing to me how much conservatives like to talk about the details of gay sex. Almost seems like an obsession for many.

I haven't watched it yet, but by many accounts Mayor Pete's town hall on FoxNews went well.  Interesting to see how this plays out as the kvetching over whether or not to appear on the network potentially further defines some of the Dems.

Well you can add Buttigieg to list of far left wing nuts.     Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg said Friday that things named after President Thomas Jefferson should be renamed because that’s the “right thing to do.”

I thought he had stalled a bit, but Pete is pacing this out pretty well

Pete Buttigieg raised $7 million for his presidential bid in April, a staggering haul that is likely to put the South Bend, Ind. mayor among the top fundraisers in the Democratic primary field.

Then came bad news from South Bend, the town Buttigieg leads as mayor. A white police officer had shot and killed a black man early Sunday. Buttigieg canceled several days of campaign events — including an LGBTQ gala in New York — and rushed back to Indiana to “be with the South Bend community,” in the words of a campaign spokesman.

Instead of showcasing Buttigieg’s ability to lead through a crisis, however, the shooting is exposing what has long been considered an Achilles’ heel of his candidacy: his frosty relationship with South Bend’s black residents. Since arriving on Sunday, Buttigieg has alienated the family of the dead man, Eric Logan, 54, skipped a vigil at the scene of the shooting, and sought advice from outsiders, including the Rev. Al Sharpton of New York.

The shooting is just one of the police and racial problems in South Bend.  There is a history that dates both of Mayor Pete's terms as mayor.  These problems aren't going away anytime soon.  The mayor needs to do the right thing and withdraw from the presidential race.  Both he and the community will be better off for it.

I think it's a little early for that. The issues in South Bend with regards to Race predate Mayor Pete.

There have been additional issues throughout his terms, including lack of minority recruitment on the police force, his firing of the black police chief and a negative history by the two officers involved in this shooting.  This isn't going away.  His first obligation is to South Bend not to his ambition.

His campaign is at a cross roads. How he responds in the next few days will determine if he stays in the race or not. If he moves against the police he'll alienate law enforcement and whites. If he doesn't he'll alienate minorities. It's a tough situation to be in and most of it has nothing do with him. I'm not sure how you navigate it to be honest.
