President Trump does not like them and thinks they are weak. The head negotiator explains to Trump what they are - agreed terms of a full legal contract. Trump still does not like them. The head trade negotiator then informs his team that they will still use the "exact same document" but call it something else - never call it Memorandum of Understanding again, even though those terms will be in its heading. For example, Trump claims 2+2 does not equal 4, insisting 2+2 equals 5 in elementary school. In next slide, his teacher corrects him but Trump keeps insisting 2+2 = 5. Then in final slide, Fred Trump gives the teacher money, and the teacher then agrees 2+2 =5, patting little Trump on his head telling him how brilliant he is. His memos of understanding with TrumpCorp were probably not worth the paper they were written on — requiring proper contracts later after the bs was sifted through. Great negotiator and all that,... Btowner Posted February 24, 2019 Report Share Posted February 24, 2019 This is probably like his United States -Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Since NAFTA was approved in 1994, it makes sense to tweak the agreement. At this point, Trump has supposedly negotiated the USMCA, yet it's still pending approval by all three countries. After the little boy cries and whimpers for an hour, the mother then tells him it is not the dentist, whom he has to visit, but a spaceman. She does not want him to be shocked, so she tells him it is the exact same man, who he knows as his dentist, and the man will clean and pick at his teeth, doing all the stuff the little boy hates, so it will be exactly the same as going to the dentist but the man will no longer be called dentist and instead spaceman.
