Dilfer's an idiot.

He had a chance to coach Marcus 8 years ago and wouldn't.

He's the epitome of questionable judgement in coaching.

What does that have do with his actual criticisms in the tweets?

This son of a bitch never passed for 3k and averaged 55% in the league. He's also the epitome of mediocre NFL QBs. He's a HS coach for crying out loud.

The takeaway is that his mechanics are set and not fixable so he’s an RGIII / Kaepernick/ Kordell QB.  Not encouraging.

Pretty much.

This was a pretty damning interview that Dilfer somehow framed as positive lol.

I get it, Mariota is the opposite of Brady and Rodgers (outside the core) and needs to run more.  Yea, that is encouraging.

Also what we have been saying all along: "on a planned throw he can rip it".

Not sure what Dilfer's ability as a QB has to do with his ability to coach.  How many former QBs coach in the NFL?  Even the great ones don't make very good coaches.

A LOT actually.

It's the crappy ones and backup QBs that always make good coaches.

Jim Harbaugh, Jason Garrett, Frank Reich, Kellen Moore, Jon Kitna, Kevin O'Connell, Pat O'Hara, Tim Rattay, Alex Van Pelt,

Ken Dorsey, Byron Leftwich, Zac Taylor, Kliff Kingsbury, Gary Kubiak, Mike Kafka, Ryan Lindley, Scott Milanovich, Dave Ragone,

Mike Shula, Mike Groh, Greg Knapp, Tom Clements.

All former NFL QBs and current NFL coaches (except Jim Harbaugh).
