ctm
Here we go again. Trying to make it seem that a wall and a fence are the same thing. Trump promised a wall. In the past, democrats have voted for fencing, but not a wall.

The fence that has been erected for the most part has worked. Obama, Schumer and Clinton along with 23 Senate Democrats voted for it. As for the elementary logic it is the Democrats that have made this a surreal bunch of idiotic shit. The wall/fence/barrier will be built one way or another. The wall is only a part of border security but an important one and the ONLY reason idiots make these claims is to beat Trump. There is no logic or reasoning outside of this. So if the policies the Democrats proposed and are working, why do we need to radically alter the way we are approaching infrastructure? If the cost of fencing alone would be what you wrote, how does Trump's ask in terms of cost even begin to cover the long sustained development and build of a wall? How does a wall actually impact trafficking versus other security measures? The drug trade? How do we account for the fact that most illegal drugs enter the US not through methods of ground transportation according to the DEA? Additionally, what about crossing that take place through transit vehicles and not carried on the body of a person (the impacted border crosser affected by the wall). If we are worried about drug related deaths and drug abuse anyways, wouldn't our resources be better suited to solving the opioid crisis? How do we address the fact that violent crimes committed by immigrants are outliers? What about terrorism? All the data shows the connection between the Mexican border as a point of entry and terrorism is tenuous at best? https://www.cato.org/blog/center-immigration-studies-shows-very-small-threat-terrorists-crossing-mexican-border Btowner, and Justafan 1

Even if the Dems gave Trump the $5 billion, does any Trump supporter know how long it would take to complete the wall or how much more money would be needed to complete the wall? Besides saying build the wall, has Trump even mentioned the estimated completion date of the wall? Edited February 4, 2019 by Btowner

OzTitan
Executive time seems to be significantly occupied by Twitter shitposting. Not sure what everyone is complaining about, Trump not really doing the job is a good thing. OILERMAN

Especially when you look at some of his previous tweets and dog whistles about Obama.

But yeah really should be more like a B I.... guess? I mean, it did a “good job” in that the Mongols went around it. But that just highlights the failure of such thinking that a wall is worth the cost.
