freakingeek
Based on my personal experience, there are bad drivers everywhere but Alabama has the top spot hands down. I haven't been to Washington, Oregon or Hawaii but I've been everywhere else. Those MFs are crazy down there. It's like Daytona week all year 'round. WG53
Kentucky drivers are pretty damn bad. Same with Michigan. freakingeek
TampaTitan
Florida, because it's a mixed bag of shitty drivers from everywhere else. The stretch of I4 from Tampa to Orlando was declared the most deadly stretch of highway in the U.S. not long ago. freakingeek, and GOAT9
'Nator
Drivers in Nashville TN according to my grandfather, are historically bad. He wrote a letter to the editor that got published in the 80s. He's driven in almost every state, and around 20 countries. My theory is that part of the current problem is these hicks don't know how to drive in the city and Nashville is a legit city now. Everyone drives here from surrounding counties to work. They haven't accepted that this is no longer a big town, it's a legit city. They haven't adjusted. No one moves with a purpose. Need to be in the turning lane? GET THERE, don't fucking straddle it for half a fucking mile. There's no need to come to an almost complete stop to turn in somewhere. Fucking GO. Make your turn. Know where you're going. Don't try to move through 3 lanes to get to a turn you should have been prepared for. STOP trying to be Mr. ice guy, letting people through! You're blocking the flow of traffic. Things will open up naturally for those folks after traffic moves. You aren't helping. freakingeek
People in the US get a "herd" mentality when they climb behind the wheel. Eat or be eaten. I visited San Miguel DeAllende Mexico which has a population of 60,000 within the city limts. There are zero stop signs and zero traffic lights, and the traffic flows with very little problem. Drivers are fairly courteous and I didn't see one accident the entire week I was there.

Its a mix of old people that drive 25 on a 55 with some young retard driving 100 on a 35. There is no in between. New York/Jersey and California are pretty bad as well. You have your choice of two lanes in Dade County: Blue haired old ladies in Caddys doing 30 in a 55 or drug dealers in Mercedes doing 140. freakingeek
Every state has their fair share of bad drivers but those MFs in Alabama are not only bad drivers but they're aggressive and reckless. Bad combination.

You have every demographic from every region all congregating to the state and in that mix comes slews of bad drivers from everywhere. Every place has bad drivers but I have never been to a place with such nice infrastructure set up that is so consistently poorly utilized. They haven't accepted that this is no longer a big town, it's a legit city. They haven't adjusted. That's a double-edged sword you're swinging with though. No, the natives aren't used to the thicker traffic impeding the way they've always driven, but people from other states are bringing their asshole driving tactics along with their physical presence and it's creating conflict. Tailgating is worse than it's ever been. I mean, I get being frustrated if it were someone driving 60/65 in the passing lane who won't move over because that pisses me off too, but if you're doing 80 in the passing lane and some halfwit is STILL riding you like a porn star? Gtfo. And that's the flow of traffic now. At least 70% of the people on the road are traveling at least 5 miles above the speed limit at any given time. Impatience is a virtue. Fuck the mentality that the people who've always lived here have to bend over backward to adapt to the way all the cunty imports want to do things. They (supposedly) moved here because they wanted to get away from their shitty home town. Why are they trying to turn this town into their shitty home town? I wouldn't call it a "herd" mentality. I'd call it the "Richard Petty" mentality. Always petrified of not getting there first. I can't count how many times some jackhole piece of shit has swung over in front of me into the passing lane cutting me off when there isn't another car within at least 75 yards behind me. Why don't you just wait until I pass you? Why do I have to stomp on my breaks just because you can't bother to wait a handful of seconds?
