And then you have to look at the whole picture. How things were or worked out. Playbook's. Game's planning. do you think a WR such as Antonio Brown would have made a difference? Honest question. I will agree that Davis was way overdrafted though. Calvin Ridley completely outperformed him as a rookie and as a secondary WR. Ridley was taken about 20 picks later than what Davis was. More catches with fewer targets, more TDs, yards. Just all around better WR. You don’t think being that secondary receiver helps make his job easier? Having defenses focus on Julio or having Ryan as your QB helps? Davis has an inconsistent QB, an offense where he was drafted to be the guy very early on. Lol Davis would be amazing in that offense

Take your own advice. If Ryan can get 1,000 out of Harry Douglas , then this should put Ridley's 800 yards into perspective. Whereas Mariota has never taken a receiver to 1,000 by himself. He's never even taken one to 900 yards. Edited January 18, 2019 by abc2330

Lol Davis would be amazing in that offense In some ways it does make it easier. In some ways it doesn't. The Falcons have a good all around offense which makes it hard to concentrate on one player. That is true. But not being the primary WR means fewer chances to do anything. This is evident in that Davis got 20 more targets than Ridley despite being in an offense that doesn't throw anywhere near as much as ATL. Ridley roasted some good DBs. He made Kirkpatrick look outright stupid. Davis isn't going to do much more in ATL. With a 58% catch an only getting around 90 targets he is looking at maybe 50 rec. His stats are most likely going to be similar to what they are now, just with fewer targets+catches / increase in ypr.

What is Douglas career highs every other season? 556 yards and 2 TDs. His targets went from 132 (most on the team) to 74. If Julio goes on IR and Ridley gets 130+ targets? Youre talking well over 1000 yards and probably nearly 15tds. Keep in mind that Ridley has tied Julios career high in TDs as a rookie with limited opportunities. How about some analysis on why your boy Taylor had so many big fucking drops throughout the season? Or are you just going to continue to harp on CD because he was top 5? Either way, your ignorance continues, as it has since you’ve been part of this board. Youre not even a fan of the team anymore, so get the fuck out of here. Smokes
Marcus lives in the same neighborhood as Bortles, Carr, Winston, Smith and Tannehill. Davis's production wouldn't be much different if he played with any of the five. He'd probably be a Pro Bowler with Stafford or Dalton. headhunter

Every single one of those QBs has been more productive than Mariota. He's more comparable to Tyrod Taylor. A little more in terms of passing yards, but worse in terms of TD/INT . 11 hours ago, GOAT9 said:
