She can lie to the press all she wants but I don’t think it will ever amount to criminal charges because she isn’t obstructing justice in the process. Kellyanne is probably in the same boat. If she is only lying to the press then there’s no obstruction. I don’t think she has any power to obstruct justice. Rudy could be different altogether. Lying to the public was part of the articles of impeachment against Clinton, and also I think against Nixon. It's how far we've come that everyone overlooks that. But intentionally misleading the American public with the presidential bully pulpit is actually a big deal. But yeah as far as being prosecutable, that would be difficult. But you have to separate what is a crime from what is evidence of a crime. Their lying may not be a crime itself (or maybe it is) but it could be evidence of one. They've had plenty of opportunities to sit down with Mueller and give their side of the story but declined. Now Rudy wants to complain that they need a chance to correct the record after the fact. This is no different in principal from the employee who gets called in by his supervisor for a disciplinary hearing and refuses to say anything. He's basically saying he wants to be able to adjust the report to whatever he wants it to say before its released. They're expecting this report to be pretty damning.
