Alright, @tgo...it's your time!

Fucking hire Kubiak.   Here’s my new list:    1. Kubiak 2. Kubiak 3. Kubiak 4. Kubiak 5. Kubiak

My vote is Gase.

WTF didn't we just block the request to interview? Plenty of teams do this.

Not for HC jobs...That would be a total dick move and no decent assistant (most of which aspire to be HC's) would want to work here.

Here is the Patriots 03 playbook for those interested. @tgo @scine09. It looks like Weis liked getting the QB out on bootlegs, there's also a ton of 5 step drops, a lot of them quick 5 step drops with the ball coming out quickly

Omaha

came from Weiss not Manning!

I think we need even another connection to the New England Patriots, don't you?

Yep, and then should add another by signing Trey Flowers. We can have Logan Ryan, Malcolm, Butler, Josh Kline, and Dion Lewis lobby personally.

JK.........except about Flowers.

Alex Smith comes to mind.  Blaine Gabbert.  Bortles.  Derek Carr.

Average-to-bad QBs.

I really don't think Smith would be any better than he is.

With hindsight, it was the QB getting these people fired more than the other way around.

Good/great QBs figure it out. Luck figured it out.

Should have kept Robiskie. No one would offer him a HC job.

I know this is a joke but like a lot of jokes there is a kernel of truth. There is no point, no point, in hiring the next hot young offensive coordinator when we are trying to create some stability. We don't need the next guy to be here a year or two and then leave only to have to repeat that pattern yet again for the third time.

I mean, a great offensive mind got A LOT out of Smith. He had the best passer rating in 2017

Maybe we should have hired LaFleur as our HC?

You hire the best guy for what the HC wants on the field.  Ideally you want stability but any assistant who comes in here and has great success is going to have an opportunity to get a head gig.

I think the hire will have west coast/zbs roots whether it be the Shanahan or Reid versions.  That should provide enough stability in the scheme.
