Landry is going to be a star.

So close to causing a fumble too - you can see Luck sensing it and quickly moving the ball into the other hand. Most QBs would have lost it, and Jones was right in line to scoop it up.

D-Line Losing Casey was a massive loss in the Colts game. The rest of our DL rotation are solid starters and nothing more. Logan won’t be back, but I don’t see a need to replace him with another

just a reminder that Tye Smith was the #4 corner before his injury .. expect him back so we should be good to go at CB with some recovery time..

My main focus on D would be a big space eating  NT. Someone in the mold of ravens NT Brandon Williams. The colts ran up the middle at will against us. They got 5 to 6 yds. a pop right up the middle. I

Landry was excellent against the run for a rookie speedster. He’s a guy you may give snaps off to make sure he’s a rocket, but he’s definitely not a pass rush specialist.

It’s not simply about Landry being good enough against the run. If he is your elite outside pass rusher then you benefit from keeping him rested for more pass rushing situations.

They are generally going to give 3 OLBs the majority of the snaps in games. Landry is obviously going to be one of them. I’m just saying that maybe you focus him more on pass rushing downs and keep him rested. That doesn’t necessarily mean he doesn’t start, but it could.

They would just audible to a pass.

I pointed this out before the last Colts game and some got sensitive about it. You can't be an elite, let alone #1 defense if you can't get to the QB. Good QBs eat you alive if you can't apply constant pressure. Luck proved it again in game 2.

The only injury that will crush this defense would be losing Byard, they need to find someone who can at least adequately play free safety for an extended period of time. I love Vacarro but he would severely limit what Pees likes to do if he had to play in Byards spot.

He is a foundational building block moving forwards.

He and Evans are going to wreck havoc in the future.
