The BCS is a JOKE.

The BCS Game is supposed to be about finding the best team in College football.  Alabama will most likely win the title, but the final four teams should be the four best teams when the season ended.  If that means it's Bama, Georgia, LSU and one other team, so be it.  It's not supposed to be a participation series.  It's supposed to be a battle of the best of the best teams.  Georgia would beat the hell out of Notre Dame.  As I type the score is 30-3, halftime it was 23-3.

If the BCS is going to be just a who has media power and a great history, then name the damn thing after Knute Rockne.  Anoint Notre Dame #1 emeritus or some shit, then forget about having a championship.  Boise State, GTFOH.  Let Notre Dame schedule their on championship bowl series like they do their schedule.

ND earned their placement, they did not have a cupcake schedule.   Oklahoma is also getting destroyed.   It happens.

Oklahoma got off to a bad start, but they showed they could compete with Alabama.  Clemson is also going to be competitive and make it a great game.  Any one of these three school would beat Notre Dame the same way Clemson did.  Notre Dame has a schedule they set up and a huge TV deal.  The BCS is just paying them off so they can reap more money from college football.  They have some tough games on the schedule that they set up.  They have the freedom to space them out so they don't have to go all beat up to play tough games back to back.  Also, they don't have to play for a conference championship every year giving a serious rival a second crack at them.

You are a big Bama fan.  Do you think ND goes 13-0 playing those same teams?   Think Bama could run the table with ND's schedule?

There is no BCS any longer it was dissolved in 2014.

There is no perfect way to pick 4 teams. No question ND who probably has the 15th or 16th best players was out of their depth vs Clemson and Ohio State and Georgia are clearly better.

I prefer that teams play their way into the playoffs and that's why I would be all for a 6 team playoff that includes all 5 major conference champions with one wild card. In that scenario the playoff teams would have been Bama-Clemson-Oklahoma-Ohio State-Washington and a wild card selected by the committee, that would have been ND.

The biggest weakness of the playoff format in it's current form is that a team that won their conference gets left out and while I hate Ohio State I can certainly understand their frustration over the last 2 years.

By automatically allowing every conference champion a playoff birth you expand the playoffs to at least 10 teams because conference championship games become a playoff game.

Yea Georgia really proved they should have been there.

Georgia would beat Notre Dame everyday of the week except Saturday.  On Saturday, they would stomp them.

So they lost a bowl game. They were not supremely motivated. They were at worst the 4th best team in the country.

Not a Bama fan, but obviously they should not have been in the final 4 given how they got beat by more points than ND did.
