What’s the alternative? Sitting in stony silence like during the meeting he and Trump had with Schumer and Pelosi?

He looked more out of place than tits on a boar hog.

A secretive battle over a grand jury subpoena in a case believed to be tied to Special Counsel Robert Mueller moved closer to resolution with a ruling in favor of the government.

A three-page court order on Tuesday shed a bit more light on a case that has spurred widespread speculation over who and what prosecutors are going after. The court ordered an unidentified company -- described only as a “corporation” owned by “Country A” -- to surrender “information” to the grand jury.

It said that the U.S. “satisfied its burden of establishing a reasonable probability that this ‘action is based upon . . . an act outside the territory of the United States in connection with a commercial activity of the foreign state elsewhere’ and that the ‘act cause[d] a direct effect in the United States.”’

The panel said the corporation would have to pay $5,000 a week for failing to comply with a lower-court order.

It's likely someone's bank records.

State owned bank. People think either China or a Middle Eastern bank, since both are state owned.

China might actual dictate a closed floor more so than a Middle Eastern bank.

Many Russian companies are state owned.

Also, I wish they would quit issues fines to companies in criminal matters and instead arrest the officers and upper management.

What is worrying is if it is an unfriendly country, they might grab our diplomats and the diplomats get no warning because the Trump Administration, to give no credibility to his crimes, wont let an alert go out to the diplomats.

They simply will not do that and for good reason to an extent. You start arresting people for corporate crimes like this and we cede our hegemony even faster than we already are. Capitalism is a bitch when it comes to these types of things. The best we can hope for is to hold politicians accountable who can pass stricter oversight.

The mystery case took another interesting turn on Tuesday when the appeals court issued a ruling revealing that the unnamed witness in the case isn't a person but a foreign corporation, described in documents only as "owned by Country A."

The ruling indicates that the company has been fighting a subpoena from Mueller's office to hand over information to the grand jury, arguing that doing so would violate the law in "Country A."

The document said the court rejected the company's claim that complying with the subpoena would do so and ordered it to hand over the information. It also revealed that the corporation is being fined every day that it doesn't comply with the subpoena
