How Titans Fared Over First 20 Seasons Compared With Rest Of NFL

If you are a Titans fan on twitter or just follow the NFL you'll notice how obnoxious some of the Kansas City Chiefs fanbase is lately. Sure Pat Mahomes is good but you would've thought these idiots signed Joe Montana or something....Oh wait they already did and how many Super Bowls came out of that. Not a fucking single solitary one. dont count your chickens before they hatch.

Also next year teams will all have film on Mahomes and he may or may not continue to play well. So we have some of these brain dead weasels calling the Titans and their fans losers and that we suck,LOFL. Did they forget that Titans beat Chiefs in the biggest road comeback in playoff history just last year?  Also Titans have 6 postseason wins while Chiefs have only 1 since 1999.

Since the Titans began in '99 we not only have the same amount of regular season wins as Chiefs with 162 tied for 13th place of 32 teams and 4 wins from being top ten in wins overall over the past 20 seasons. With the Titans just a small amount of wins from being in the top ten overall in wins over the past 20 seasons compared with 31 other NFL teams i dont think any other teams fans or fanbases can say we suck.

Actually the worst stretch the Titans have had was 4 straight non winning seasons from 2012-2015. This actually isn't that bad there have been many teams do much worse. I almost lost my mind those 4 years with losing and no improvement but we thought we had it bad!! Can you imagine instead of 4 years you must endure 10 straight, better yet 13 or 14 straight non winning seasons with no winning years and no playoffs like the teams below.....

From 2001-2010 Lions had 10 straight losing seasons,From 2004-2016 Rams had 13 straight losing seasons,2003-2018 Raiders 15 out of last 16 seasons were non-winning ones,2003-2017 For Browns 14 out of 15 of those were non winning seasons,2008-2018 Jaguars 10 out of last 11 seasons were non winning ones,1991-2004 Bengals had 14 straight non winning seasons,

2005-2018 Bills 12 out of 14 of those were non winning seasons,2011-2018 NY Jets 7 out of 8 were non winning seasons,2011-2018 Bucs 7 out of 8 were non winning seasons,2009-2017 Dolphins 8 out of 9 were non winning seasons,Bears 2011-2017 6 out of 7 were non winning seasons,Giants 2013-2018 5 out of last 6 were non winning seasons.

Above is 12 fanbases over a third of the NFL and most endured nearly a decade(10 years) or more of losing in last 20 years.

As for me i am satisfied with how the Tennessee Titans first 20 years went. They are close to being top ten in wins overall over the first 20 years of play. They have had 9 winning seasons(2018 TBD),7 postseason appearances(2018 TBD),6 postseason wins(TBD),3 time division winner,2 NFL Rookies of the Year,2 NFL MVP's,2 times NFL best record,2 AFC Championship & 1 Super Bowl appearance(TBD) .

The team has had 4 first round franchise QB's Steve McNair,Vince Young,Jake Locker and Marcus Mariota, All but Locker had winning seasons and played in postseason as well. We've had 2 NFL Rookies of the Year as well as a couple NFL MVP's,We've had a 2,000 yard rusher,Had a RB who still holds the record for most all purpose yardage gained in a season,A FG kicker who holds the record for most FG kicked in one game.

Bottom line is we had our share of success, thrilling finishes, wild comebacks, historic moments and we regularly had winning seasons, made the postseason a few times, played in a couple AFC title games and a Super Bowl.

While we werent quite as successful as franchises such as New England,Pittsburgh or Seattle we sure as hell werent bottom of the barrel like Buffalo,Cleveland,Oakland,Jacksonville those teams and their fanbases went ten years or more between winning seasons,

I bet a good portion of Titans (twitter/social media) fans were the same when Mariota went on his tear to end is sophomore season. And Mahomes is not only killing what Mariota did, but has been doing it all season.

And I believe there was a good portion that knocked Mahomes simply because he was a Big 12 QB. They should be throwing it in ppls face.

It would be extremely pleasing if we made the playoffs and got to play the chiefs in the second round and won at arrowhead again. The fan implosion would be epic.

This is exactly what i want to happen. Play KC in the second round and win at Arrowhead again.

Here is what happen when i told a Chiefs fan that it would be harder on Mahomes next season when teams have more tape in him along with Mariota being first in NFL in comeback wins since 2017.

Lol teams have 14 games on tape. Defenses gave frustrated him plenty of times but guess what? He adjusts and still makes plays. 43 TDs and breaking records of the elites. Let me know when Mariota even comes close to 43 TDs

I would absolutely love to have the titans in the playoffs again this year, much easier w than what we will have to face after our first round bye.

Different Chiefs team this year. I’d love for the Chiefs to play the Titans this year . I never sold Mariota short on anything. I’m just making fun of Ben who was hilariously trying to compare the two as equals. Let me know when Mariota has 43 TDs with 3 games left. I’ll wait

Also when i let a Chiefs fan know about various records Mariota has set or broken along with him being known as a clutch QB......

Sorry fella, anyone putting Mariota in the same category as Mahomes is a JOKE.

First things first. Yes Mahomes is having a very good year and most teams would kill to have a new QB come in and play as well as he has. Well you have to consider Andy Reid has always made QB's look like a million bucks including a long list of guys some that even disappeared after leaving Reid. Also Mahomes has a shitload of talent to work with including Tyreek Hill,Sammy Watkins,Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt until recently.

I spit my drink out when i read this.......anyone putting Mariota in the same category as Mahomes is a JOKE

Sure Mahomes is doing very well right now but it is still his first full year of playing and Mariota although he can be inconsistent at times he has done quite a bit in his first four years and already has 12 game winning drives, won the biggest comeback game in playoff history for a road team, recently converted a record amount of third downs best in several years,Also had the second most stretch of complete passes in NFL history, best record for a QB in primetime, number one in converting 3rd and long situations, etc.

Better yet lets see how Mariota does with a shitload of weapons at his disposal including Tyreek Hill,Sammy Watkins,Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt. I could imagine how defenses would feel trying to defend Mariota and a guy like Hill......

Ya sports fans for the most part are obnoxious cry babies. As a franchise we are solid. Nothing special, but not crap either. If you arn't dominating like the Patriots you are trash to most folks.

The crazy thing is that KC fans heads are swollen and they have this false sense of security that their team is gonna be wildly successful. They already think Mahomes is Tom Brady reincarnated.

I know. Thing is i get pissed when opposing fans talk shit about Titans especially that we suck and we are no good.

Thats why i pulled up our record the last 20 years since the beginning in '99 thru the present.

We have the same exact amount of wins with 162 good for 13th out of 32 teams.

Out of the 3 powerhouse offensive teams. The saints and rams worry me far more than kc. Tbh the good defensive teams I think would be harder for us than any of thr big 3

There's not one HC or GM today in the NFL that would rather have Mariota than Mahomes.  Not one.  Your arguments might be more compelling on a Dolphin or Jaguars board......

As for 20 year views, both teams have similar # of winning seasons and playoff appearances in the time period.  Neither one has a championship.  Kind of like arguing about which down syndrome kid is the smartest...

Well i did one to see how the Titans have fared in the last 20 years as well as all the other franchises. Now i am about to put records down for all teams as well as win percentage and how the Tennessee Titans compare to all other teams during the Super Bowl era 1970 thru 2018.
