PFF: Rashaan Evans Rebounding After Dismal Start

Awesome. I know I was one of the few skeptical of the pick, but I hope he keeps proving me wrong after the bad start. Needs to keep improving in coverage though.

He's allowed 17 yards in coverage.

Mostly because they play zone underneath to get in passing lanes. Its not like a CB

Probably because he isn’t dropping into coverage or even on the field on passing downs enough.

@Face made note of his ability to get after the passer in another thread. I agree he should be utilized outside quite a bit. However, the goal for this year was to teach him to be a true off ball LB. People forget he’s only played MLB one year in his whole career. If they teach him all 3 facets of the defense he has a chance to be a top LB for a decade. He has the skill set, explosion, and his ability to read and react has shown for five weeks straight.

I'm pretty sure he's covering the opponent's #1 WR on every play.
