Popular Post code
Another horribly up and down performance by a team that specializes in being inconsistent. It's maddening, until you learn to let go. I got such a kick out of reading the game thread after we had won. Lots of agendas, but to be honest, the pick six was absolutely brutal and the miss on the post to Taylor at the time was inexplicably bad. Really, that is the story of this team. You have to admire Marcus play in the 4th quarter. And in the same breath, what the fuck was that first quarter. And while a lot of folks got on Scotty for quoting Rich Gannon and the Jets coach, clearly Marcus has earned that level of disdain. No doubt he tries to read the whole field. No doubt that it isn't instinctive. But, so much else to talk about: 1. The emergence of Corey Davis. I don't know if he is a #1 or a #2, but he is absolutely a legitimate starting WR. Been a while since we have had one of those. 2. The emergence of four young LBs ... Brown, Evans, Landry and Finch. Finch is the URFA signing of the year, though Anthony Firkser brings his lunch pale (if a kid from Harvard has a lunch pale). 3. After we all agreed that Kern and Succop have been the most consistent Titans, they jump into the mayhem. Add to that Adore's inexplicable fair catches, and the horrific kick off coverage play, and you get a truly bad special teams game. 4. I still think Casey hasn't player near his contract level (nor for that matter has Jones), defensive front was ok today. 5. The Conklin injury has been a killer. Truly he needs to move inside, put Kelly outside of him, put Levine at Center and Jones at the other Guard spot. Way too much blame given to both Lewis and Henry when this line is simply not good enough to win. At the end of the day, this is a win. I can't imagine we beat Jacksonville on Thursday night after their defensive performance against the Colts, but then, the game has all the makings of a 6-3 slugfest. Are we a playoff team? I think we are an 8-8 team. We have moments. And then we have the other kind of moments. Maybe that is why Marcus is the poster boy for this team. He has both types of moments. All the damn time. I love him. I hate him. I love him again. That said, zero trust in anything that the team does. Anybody's guess when they show up and when they disappear. I just appreciated them showing up in the 4th quarter in a big way ... with great thanks to the lowly Jets. rns90, TNTitans, SuperFreak90, and 9 others
Popular Post OILERMAN
This team is no where near close to being a SB contender and today did nothing to make me feel good about next year TitanTez, pat, Smokes, and 3 others

Tomachek
Firkser is a baller, fathoms me that we barely see him on the field. EagleEye, TitanJoe, and Flarb
NashvilleNinja
A win is a win, but not all wins are created equally. And Davis absolutely is a #1. I can only imagine how dominant he'd be with the Chiefs. MadMax
I think I have come to the conclusion that if Marcus had a good to great offensive line, he'd be top 5. Hear me out, I know true greats can help their line, he ain't of that cloth. But the odd thing is, with a terrific line, I think he'd be better than some or most of those quarter backs who can make their lines better. He's the ultimate system quarter back. The flashes he shows are maddening. It's not a great situation to be in at the moment, but it is kinda fun to think of how things could be. Dak Prescott was good behind a dominant OL and an awesome running game It's basically impossible to have and keep those two things though which is why Prescott is so up and down Eighteen, bostontitan, and Thrill

I'm saying Marcus would be great. But behind our putrid line, Dak could possibly be better. Thrill
reo
Is that 12 game winning drives in the 4th by MM? Let's not forget that McNair was a conservative QB that limited mistakes his first few years as a starter too before Dinger opened it up more. Tormentedrose
A win is a win. It's easy to forget that after watching much of this game. This team is so frustrating to watch, but there were some things that I am glad to see. It was good to see Marcus take some shots downfield with Taylor. He has good speed and Davis is being focused on by opposing defenses. This should open up the run game a bit and I hope it continues. It was also good to see Tajae making some plays and Batson and Firsker are making the case to see more playing time too. I don't think that the defense played particularly well, but Jayon stands out to me and Malcom Butler finally made some plays. All in all I think we sucked but like you said "a win is a win"
Huston
Butler has played very well the last month, they seem to play much better when the front is aggressive.
terradawg
The plan is still the same with Mariota. Next year is the year. He either takes a big step forward and gets the tag or a long term deal or he continues to be inconsistent and potentially hits the market.
