tgo
Beddingfield's breakdown this week is golden. "The personnel decision of leaving Smith against J.J. Watt in pass protection was a failure before the snap of the ball. No tight end in the NFL can make that block one-on-one." "Fourth-and-1 near the goal line: Luke Stocker, a tight end who was put at fullback, was asked to carry the ball on a critical down. Stocker looked like someone who had never carried the ball (which was a fact), he gathered his feet, shuffled both before attempting to run upfield. This hesitation is why the ball failed. The failure also goes to who assigned personnel for that play." He listed several other things and said "These are play-caller issues not player problems." Later went on to say this and to elaborate further on it: "Lewis is not a starting RB in the NFL" https://www.paulkuharsky.com/news/scout-s-take-another-mike-vrabel-gamble-fails Edited November 27, 2018 by tgo Justafan
tgo
To piggy-back on this - we currently have two guys who have primarily played in power schemes (Henry here and Lewis in New England) and are best suited for that, playing in a zone scheme. tgo
Beddingfield also mentions that paying Butler, Lewis, Kline were scouting mistakes and added: "The front office must identify the best players to help the team, not the players a staff knows or is most comfortable with." Don't always agree with Beddingfield...but it's hard to disagree with that. Seems pretty spot on. Justafan, and tgo

No1TitansFan
"Adoree’ Jackson cannot play off-man coverage 5 yards off DeAndre Hopkins on 4th and 1. He has to press him. I don’t understand the mental lapses of this team like that." This, they were obviously playing scared, afraid that if Watson sees Adoree in press that he would go deep and that Adoree would be beat. Your first round corner has to be able to match up on their best receiver on some plays and that was one of them. You thought Peter Pan was something used in hospitals. You're not important enough for me to care which Bellevue. Based on your postings and rants, Bellevue Psychiatric is good enough for me.
