Stocker was already doing it.

If they get a true FB he's going to play STs mainly and likely play 5-10 snaps as a lead blocker

They'll get a guy who can line up in the backfield and inline.  Call him what you want.  The guy from WVU discussed up thread did that and they can draft him late.  There are probably a few others as well.  The only question is how soon they can get him ready to contribute.

You can love Vrabel or hate Vrabel but he's earned respect.  That dude puts in the work and he's as real as it gets.  Happiest I've been with a HC that I can ever remember.  I hope he puts it all toge

The ESPN Titans draft coverage truly is embarrassing, less than a week out from the draft they hold a prime time mock draft special as a dress rehearsal for their actual draft coverage with McShay &am

The Titans played 2 TE sets on 26% of sets last year.  They played 3TE on 13% of plays.  They played 3WR on 58% of plays.  SO, a few things here.     1.  They were only successful in 3WR set

I know that's the problem, dont want to see him in the back field ever again. Keep him on the line and rotate the other TE's as lead blockers dont know if they truly even need a true fullback.

If they can get a lead blocker who can also line up on the line that's even better. But it's possible the better option is a true lead blocking FB. It's not like the guy is going to play a lot of snaps either way.

Walker has done it in the past, Smith can as well and they would and a huge dynamic to the passing game out of that formation. It would even give you pretty good options in the redzone as well.

Matt Miller on his Stick to Football podcast today went into a bit more detail on the character concerns surrounding Montez Sweat, apparently it is not drug/violence related, it more revolves around concerns he is lazy and concerns that he doesn't love football.

Miller also mentioned people inside the Mississippi State program have willingly been telling NFL teams about their concerns that Sweat doesn't love football.

I wonder if the FB may make a comeback league wide with how successful the Niners have been using it. They've run 2 back an insane percentage the last 2 years, pretty close to 50%, which is way more then anyone else. And they were very productive out of the formation, both running & throwing. Their running game coordinator is that guy Mike McDaniel whose considered super bright around the league so they're obviously doing some creative stuff. They also have the best FB in the league to.

The main key with Shanahan & his offense, all the guys from his tree say, is doing a bunch of different things from the same set. He definitely has his go to stuff like the outside zone, play action boots etc, but the main thrust is being effective both running & passing out of the same exact formations.
