Their whole offense sucked today though. And their oline became a sieve.

Brady was benched as a preservation effort. If this were a play off game or a game deciding whether or not they were going to the playoffs you can bet he'd have finished the game.

No reason for Brady to stay in the game. I was confused as to why Michel still played, considering his recent injury.

You've said for the last two years he's a running QB and he can't play from the pocket. You said they brought in Fowler so they could run Marcus more.   You've said a lot of stupid shit

BUT HE IS KILLING THE FRANCHIZE

He's been consistently inconsistent his entire career. He shows flashes of elite play sandwiched between mediocrity and downright bad play. He's arguably the worst kind of QB you can have because he'l

I think “benched” is too strong a word.

The Pats’ offense had been struggling to move the ball all day and Brady was taking a beating in the process.   When Henry scored to make it 34-10, Belichick knew it was time to wave the white flag...keeping Brady out there to get beat up some more would have just been straight-up dumb coaching.  And BB definitely ain’t dumb.

One way Mariota beat the Pats defense was breaking out to run and then throwing the ball vs a broken coverage. Watching it again there were at least 3 plays he took off as if there wasn't a doubt he was running but he pulled up and threw it, including the TD to Smith.

This is def something he's done much better the last few weeks. He was previously looking at the rush and just running, often into defenders with a lack of awareness.

Marcus was better scrambling than he has been this last game but its not something he neds to do to win and not something coaches have to do with him to allow him to play QB.

Its an advantage he CAN bring but not necessary.

That's a good way to keep him healthy too, by not taking unnecessary hits. When he did run yesterday, he was very decisive and took off quickly. Some plays may have even been designed QB runs. His pocket awareness yesterday was outstanding.

Interesting I called that Mariota’s biggest flaw was moving from the pocket. Vrabel then echoed it. And then we saw it in action.

When you're doing something wrong and no one says anything about it for 2 friggin years it's kind of hard to improve, isn't it?

It's still not anything close to smooth or natural for him.  Wouldn't look for it to be a constant within his game. Titans have found a few wrinkles that have worked.  See what happens when teams take em away.  NE did very little to defend Tenn yesterday.

Mariota is the same basket case. There's no switch that gets flipped  all of a sudden making him a legit QB.  The coaches deserve mountains of credit.

This team is good.  The QB is not.  But he's a team guy & humble so the guys like him.  & That's all good.  He's on the team.  Not a driving force of the team.  But That is ok.  There are only a handful of franchise QB's.

Phi winning with Foles last year again shows you don't need a franchise QB to win it all.  Just need to get hot & be healthy.

Back to back QB ratings of 125 or better is just a few wrinkles? More come from behind wins in the last 3 years than anyone else? Come on man. No

one is crowning him the next Tom Brady but the guy is playing some very good football. Best we had since McNair.
