Yet another historic game for James Harden

Recommended Posts

Only two players in NBA history have accounted for 91 points or more in a game (points scored plus points off assists), Harden and Chamberlain (104 points total). Now Harden is the first to do it twice, accounting for 91 points Sunday night after accounting for 95 points in a game last season.

Only two people averaged a triple double throughout an entire season as well...

Until either of them win a title, their individual accomplishments dont mean a damn thing.

But I can still say Westbrook is better.

Westbrook’s 57-point triple-double was certainly the best game of his career: Counting his point total and the point total from his assists, Russ accounted for 82 of the Thunder’s 114 points (71.9 percent). Harden’s best game, his 53–16–17 New Year’s Eve ball-out against the Knicks, accounted for 95 of the Rockets’ 129 points (73.6 percent). These figures are completely unprecedented in the modern era

And Westbrook isnt close to being the 3 pt shooter Harden is. And Westbrook didnt have the 3 pt shooters on his team that Harden did.

And he doesnt flop like a bitch to get calls.

No, Westbrook only selfishly pads his rebound numbers (which his teammates freely admit to allowing) so he gets more triple-doubles all the time. While most guards in the NBA, or any other league, let their frontcourt teammates get rebounds to set up fast breaks. That's the job of smaller, faster players to run the fast break while taller, slower players get the rebounds and pass the ball up court.

NBA has changed B. How come players like Odom were cobsidered valuable? Because he could grab a board and go.

Its easier to get out on a fastbreak if the guy rebounding can actually take it up the court.

And if his teammates are cool with it, why are you bitching about it?

Stop being a fucking hater. Reigning MVP. Harden didnt deserve it over him. Get the fuck over it.

So it's OK to hate a cancer like Howard who won 3 consecutive DPOY awards and was once the greatest big man the NBA had seen since Shaq, but not OK to hate a selfish player like Westbrook who drove Durant out of OKC and forced him to seek a championship elsewhere?

Thunder fans are delusional if they think Westbrook or Melo are going to help them win a championship. Paul George will be the first player to sign a big contract somewhere else next summer when free agency begins. Russ and Melo deserve each other, neither of them will ever get a ring.

Maybe you should first understand why I dislike Howard. That way you would know the answer to this unnecessary question.

Melo couldnt win one in DEN and he couldn't win in NY. Who expects him to be the main reason to win other than you? Not too long ago you said had HOU would be the best team to take on GS had yall got Melo with CP3 and Harden.

Whats funny is Russ is better than Harden and PG is better than CP. Yet you still believed yall would have a beter chance. Haha. Such a hypocrite.

News flash B, Curry and Durant are 29. Westbrook is 28. And PG is 27. I agree with you that I dont believe he will stay in OKC. But if he does, OKC and GSW (if they keep their big 3 together) will become the favorites over the next 5 in the West. Not you.

You're delusional if you think old ass CP3 and Harden alone are bringing you a ring in the next 3 years. Even if PG goes elsewhere. Yall dont have what it takes to win throughout the playoffs. You dont.

You obviously haven't watched a single Rockets or Thunder game this season, have you? Westbrook has been terrible, his shooting is almost as bad as your boy Lonzo. While Harden continues to look like the real MVP for the fourth year in a row. You will see who is truly delusional here once CP3 returns.

Youre obvioisly a retard that doesnt give a fuck about context. This isnt a video game, its real life.

Westbrook had two superstars join his team. Harden had one star join who hasnt even played yet.

Thunder are learning to play together while Harden has nothing but familar faces around him.

And if your Rockets were actually good more often and you were used to this kind of success, you wouldnt feel the need to constantly take shots at a 20 year old rookie who would make you look stupid if you played 1v1.

Harden, who doesnt play D will never win MVP. You're the delusional one. And I hope CP3 comes back better than ever (which wont happen) because yall are still going home in round two.

The Rockets are already playing great right now, they won't need much from CP3 when he returns sometime next week. Hopefully the only reason they will be going home after round two will be to host the WCF, but we'll see whether or not that happens a few months from now. If the Thunder even make the playoffs, they'll be one and done then both George and Melo can sign with contenders next summer.

We'll see. He just became the first player in NBA history to make six or more 3-pointers in five consecutive games. No other player has done that in more than three straight games.

Lol. That mean jack shit. You and your meaningless records.

Curry, Ray Allen, and Reggie were all better 3 ball shooters than Harden and havent done that. So what does that really say about that stat? That no team or player guns as mich as the Rockets and Harden...

You know what is? Winning All NBA First team defense. Something Harden has never done and never will.

Also, averaging a triple double.

Also, winning a ring.

Let me know when he does one of those 3 things.

So Westbrook averaging a triple-double last season means everything in the world, even though his team was one and done mainly because of his 4th quarter meltdowns. And even though Harden's team beat his, and he is also responsible for 2 of the 3 most points accounted for in a game (points plus points off assists) in NBA history, not to mention all of the other historic games he's had in the past two seasons, these are all totally meaningless only because Harden failed to average 10 rebounds a game last season.....
