All that matters is winning games in this easy stretch of the schedule. They have things to clean up and some of it is a talent issue that cannot be fixed this year. They just have to claw their way to the bye and try and get healthy. Mariota was maybe 65%. He started out shaky and I didn't think he'd finish early on. He earned huge points tonight gutting out the game. In the 2nd half he did more than gut it out, he was great. They got Henry more involved though the running game was still a problem, they even got Taylor involved on more than gimmicks. Jayon Brown did a great job on Doyle. Woodyard is a straight up beast. I'm very interested in the game breakdowns to find out how they made Hilton vanish. 1 catch for 19 yards.... Titans also dominated on 3rd down on both sides of the ball. They finally got some big plays instead of just grinding out everything, difference in the game really. That slide tonight should show how bad he was huring and he still busted out a gutsy as fuck performance. This is the Mariota I want to see. Use your legs when you need to, quit running so much designed run play bullshit and let our guy use his talent in appropriate ways and no gimmick bullshit. Huge game from Mariota. They have real weaknesses and those have been thoroughly exposed the last few weeks. Having said that, the schedule gets easier here and they seem to be playing better. I feel pretty confident about this team when we are ahead late. Its getting there that's the issue. Proud of the guys.. but needing to come from behind against this team with that QB means we get curb stomped with luck in the game.
