Thought LA wasn't making the playoffs? Why the change of heart?

You do understand that saying a team isn't a lock to make the playoffs and saying they aren't making the playoffs aren't the same thing, right?

And now that it looks like Minnesota will be parting ways with Butler (whom you always underrate) their playoff chances drop considerably.

Look at last season when he got hurt they were the #3 seed then dropped all the way to #8 right before the playoffs. So LA moves up to #5, yay!

The Wolves won't be getting anything close to what they want for him, so they will end up settling for a deal similar to the Melo trade a year ago.

Pretty sure before you had a change of heart, you were saying they were likely to be the 9th or 10th team in the west...

Depending on what they get back, they could be that much better without his selfish ass.

Funny how we keep rising. And it's happening quick! Maybe by Christmas you'll realize how we are right on yalls tails.

You dont know. Who thought SA would get Derozan for KL?

MINN still has two years of control. They are in the driver seat. For now.

Minnesota in the driver's seat, are you kidding? They have zero leverage in negotiations right now, just like the Knicks with Melo last year.

I guarantee you they're not going to get any deal that much better than what NY got for Carmelo (Kanter, McDermott, and a 2nd round pick).

The Wolves certainly won't get a player as good as Oladipo like the Pacers did in the Paul George trade. There are two possible outcomes.

They take a shitty deal, most likely with Miami or Houston, for far less than Butler is worth. Or they hold on to him and things only get worse.

Yes. 2 years if control and according to Butler, things are getting better. They aren't going to give him away, not this year. Maybe next year.

Butler, in his prime, all around player, with at least two years of control left over an aging Melo who is a one trick pony. Gtfoh.

But remember, Oladipo in OKC wasn't Oladipo of IND. They'll get closer to that than Kanter and McDermott.

HOU. Lol keep dreaming. You think they gonna take MCW and Gordon for Butler. Smdh.

Richardson is better than anything yall would give up, just by himself.

The Celtics have also been a rumored team. And yall nor MIA could match their potential offers. But I don't see why BOS would do that unless it's like a straight up Heyward for Butler. Maybe a little kicker.

What two years of control? Butler has a player option after the season, so they have ONE year of control. Do you think he will choose to opt in?

And I was referring to the fact that they have zero leverage in trade negotiations, not with Butler. Of course they can just keep him 1 more year.

So they can make him play out his contract this year, then he will opt out next summer and get a huge contract while they get nothing for him.

Great plan there. At least Indiana was smart and got something for Paul George. Wasn't he supposed to join LeBron in LA? How did that work out?

 Possible at this point.

Not necessarily. Sign and trade is possible. Or if he gets hurt, teams might not want to commit big money until he proves he's good. So he might be forced to opt in and prove himself.

Shit happens. Wouldn't be the first time a team lost a great player to FA.

How has CP going to HOU worked out?

How many more titles have yall wont than us in the past 10 years?

How about past 5?

Very well, thank you for asking. Since Chris Paul arrived in Houston, giving them two superstar players, the Rockets are 73-24.

And remember how you said last year that even if Golden State was missing 2 of their Big 4 they would still beat the Rockets in the WCF?

Without Curry and Draymond they're playing their worst basketball in 5 years. They can't even beat Dallas right now, will it soon be 4 straight losses?

Still care that much about the regular season huh? Sad. Thought yall were supposed to be title contenders. What title contenders hold onto their regular season win/loss?

Just because it went seven games doesnt mean they wouldnt have.

And there is a reason for that. They are getting tired of each other. That happens a lot. Which is why everyone currently expects Durant to peace at the end of the year.
