Episode 142 - Titans Offense Powers Win Over Seahawks

Recommended Posts

Jonboy

The Titans/Seahawks matchup stuck to the script in the first half, with a 9-7 half-time score. The second half, however, was an entirely different story. The Titans offense erupted for three touchdowns in the third quarter, which paved the way for a big win against a quality opponent. Now at 2-1, the Titans head to Houston for their second AFC South matchup of the year. Jonboy, Jamal, and Scotty break down the Titans win over Seattle and if they expect it to continue against the Texans.

Thank God this is finally up. Tried listening to some other Titans podcasts and they were trash. Thanks guys!

Sorry the regular version isn't up yet. Hope to have it corrected tonight.

Good podcast guys. I do think we'll find DeSean Watson to be a good up and coming QB. He's dealing with being a rookie, a suspect O-line, a lack of WR talent and a head coach / offensive scheme that does not fit a running QB. Still, the kid seems talented enough with a good head on his shoulders. This may well be the guy we face for years to come.

DeAndre Hopkins looks bigger and a bit slower this year, he is targeted a lot but does not get consistent separation and is using push offs a lot more this year. I doubt he will hurt us too much on Sunday.

Big, big game, can't wait to see it unfold.

Sounds like you're describing Marcus 2 yrs ago.

I thought the Texans wr's were good?

Good pod guys.. On the Mularkey show he mentioned Adoree getting some snaps on offense.

I said this post draft and was laughed at.

I think it’s funny how much some people like to shoot down the shit I say.

The kids electric and he will be featured in offense.

I suspect it will be saved for divisional games first and must wins later.

Even as a decoy. A screen. A slant or go routes

he will get a few big plays.

Imagine him getting a fake punt in his hands.

God damn kyle. What a fucking stretch. You really went out on a limb there. How could you ever think up something so smart and original? Who would've thought adoree Jackson would ever play an offensive snap. I mean.. why wouldn't his coaches in college think of that? You're such a martyr for the cause as well. I feel for your struggle.

No one made fun of you for that, there was a myriad of other reasons...posts like this being one. You were likely the 800th out of 1000 people on the site to mention it through the draft process/once he came on board. It was always an option. Mularkey mentioned it at draft time and that they wanted him to focus on cb and returner first. He mentioned it because a room full of reporters asked.... they asked because everyone in the country knows he can and has done it before.  He's shown improvement at db so now you start to give him a chance to do more.

After Hopkins, there's a big drop off IMHO, no legitimate #2 in my book. They have a couple of TEs that can hurt you over the middle.

Gower talked to some offensive concerns here that parallel what I was trying to say. You could argue we've even exceeded expectations despite this, but that's doubtful to be the case every time and if things don't improve it could become a sizable issue:

OILERMAN

The Seahawks and Jags have elite defenses and the Titans need Davis back in the line-up. The base two TE offense and even the heavy sets become way more dangerous with Davis on the field.
