Rockets Depth Chart For The 2021-22 Season

What's the point of gloating when a team wins a road game in which they're heavily favored and they win the game by 23? After beating the Lakers by 39 points in each of their last two meetings, winning by just 23 is actually kinda disappointing. And Harden scoring 36 isn't much to gloat about either considering the way he's playing right now.

The only real accomplishment, thanks in large part to Ball scoring just two points in 22 minutes, was the Rockets winning their sixth consecutive road game by 15 points or more.

That makes Houston the first team in NBA history with a streak that long. Other teams who had done that in 5 straight road games all won championships. Hopefully history once again repeats itself, but Golden State will certainly make that difficult.

And yet they beat GS by 1 tonight.

Lol. You're still living in the past. Now back to this incredibly deep Rockets team that will average 115+. So is CP3 who just had his worst offensive season throughout his entire career. The same guy who Rockets fans think brings them closer to GSW. Haha. Delusional.

Right now they're averaging 114 PPG, even though they were without CP3 for 14 games. So they should get up in the 115-120 range soon enough. And of course they're right at the top of the Western conference along with Golden State. But I just don't get how you seem to think Paul just had his "worst offensive season" when he averaged 18.1 PPG and 9.2 APG last season (numbers Lonzo can only dream of). Those numbers are barely below his career averages, and his numbers the past 8 seasons have shown no drop off at all with nothing but pure consistency.

Sure his scoring will likely go down a bit this season with Houston, but only because he has Harden to carry most of the load plus so many other guys like Gordon, Ariza, Capela, and Anderson all scoring above 10 PPG themselves.

Chris Paul made 124 3-point shots last season, the 2nd highest total of his career, at a rate of 41.1% which was the highest of his HOF career (so far). He shot 47.6% overall, a number Lonzo could never hope to even come close to with his pathetic shooting skills. Paul also averaged 25.3 PPG in the playoffs, also the highest of his career.

The Banana Boat could be coming to Houston, even without Carmelo.

If LeBron does decide to come here next summer, and Wade follows him, the Rockets could fill their banana boat with James, Paul, Wade, and Harden. Of course they would have to find a way to get rid of Anderson and his $20M per season, but if anyone can make it happen it's Daryl Morey. Houston would also have to let Capela and Ariza walk in free agency, and probably Mbah a Moute as well, but they would still have Gordon, Nene, and PJ Tucker (plus Zhou Qi) to go along with their big 4.

They finished strong. One tenth of a second more on the clock and they lose though.

After watching that game I can't see them winning more than 2 in a 7 game set.

Tonight's 99-98 loss to Boston was nearly identical to the first game of the season when Houston beat Golden State 122-121.

Both losing teams lost on the final play after leading the game almost wire-to-wire if not for a miracle comeback by the winner.

Yet somehow in your mind the severely short-handed Rockets are "overrated AF", but you give them zero credit for winning in the opener.

We'll see.

The Lakers did get lucky winning in Philly, Charlotte, and especially in Houston. But during that 15-game stretch (11/29-12/31) they did go 3-12.

And yall are 1-5 in your last 6. Point?

Even without Harden the Rockets aren't going 2-7 in their next nine games, although the Lakers will probably do no better than that.

Although I certainly wouldn't mind them upsetting either OKC or San Antonio during that stretch. Too bad that lottery pick goes to Boston.

I hope yall win more than 2.

They should have no problem doing that after dominating the hapless Magic, perhaps the only team playing worse than LA right now.

Of course they will have to play a whole lot better tomorrow night when the Warriors come to town if they want to pull the upset.

What a easy ass schedule.

The Rockets have 7 injured players right now, mostly front-court guys, but they're only 3 games behind Golden State even though they're just 4-7 in their last 11 games. When all their starters are healthy, Houston is still undefeated even though that has only been a dozen games so far.

Luckily they do have a soft schedule for the next few games, outside the Warriors. Although the Clippers have been tough to beat lately despite all their injuries. So far they have gone 3-2 without Harden, but it looks like there's a good chance he should be back by the end of the month.

Why no Harden suspension? Funny.

Because he and CP3 were trying to stop Ariza, so as usual you have no idea what you're talking about.

The real question here is why was Green suspended and none of the Clippers players were? Obviously because of the league's LA bias. That's why.

Mark Jackson and Van Gundy killing the NBA for not suspending Harden and Paul. As they should.

You are such a typical fan who just eats up all the BS the media feeds you. This whole situation was sensationalized by the media.

Ariza and Rivers already made up over the phone the day after the game, idiots like you act like they are school children or something.

If it were up to idiots like you they would have suspended the entire Rockets team and they would have forfeited their last 2 games.

Forfeit? Haha gtfo. Now, would you lose if Harden and Paul were suspended, no shit.

I said they would have to forfeit with the entire team suspended, not just Harden and Paul.

With Curry, Durant, Thompson, and Green in their lineup the Warriors are now 18-6 with two of those 6 losses against Houston.

With Harden, Paul, Capela, and Gordon in their lineup the Rockets are now 17-0 (and of course two of those wins were against Golden State).

And I'm curious. Who are the other 15 teams you played when fully healthy?

Dallas, Miami, Minnesota, your Lakers (twice), Utah (twice), San Antonio, Charlotte, New Orleans, Portland, Indiana, Brooklyn, NY, Denver, Memphis, and Phoenix. All of those opponents, including the Warriors, have a combined record of 453-458. So, not all bad teams. Nice try.
