No defensive drop off with CP3? You do realize he is a 9 time 1st team defense?

You upgraded the defense bro lol. Learn about your team.

I know CP3 can play D. It was your friend Jake here talking about the Rockets trading away their best defender in Beverley.

They also signed another solid defender in PJ Tucker to help out Nene and improve the defense of their second unit.

Idk if he was the best but he was defineitly one of the better ones. Better than harden defensively, that's for sure.

I'm not saying I'd take Beverly over Paul for a year, but if you told me I could have CP3 for just one year, or Beverly for possibly most of his career, I wouldn't have made that trade.

Time will tell. Once CP3 makes his decision to stay or not will tell us if that was a bad deal or not. Only two ways that makes sense. One is y'all make it out of the West this year and the other would be CP3 signs a multiple year extension.

No, the Rockets got their future starting PG, not a 1-year rental. How is Beverley the Rockets' future starting PG?

Paul left LA to get past the 2nd round, something his old team never did (or anyone else recently in LA for that matter).

The backcourt rotation of Chris Paul, James Harden, and Eric Gordon is now 2nd to none in the NBA. Even better than GS.

Portland is better we average 50+ a game just between Dame and CJ

At this point it doesn't really matter what teams do. No one is beating the warriors for the next two years.

Probably not, but a key injury would leave them vulnerable to an upset.

It's insane just how much more top-talent they have in their starting 5 than anyone in recent history

You keep acting like he doesn't want to be in Houston because he was traded, but it was his decision to come here.

The only way he doesn't stay here past 2018 is if he doesn't perform well next season and the Rockets don't re-sign him.

You keep acting like there would be no reason he would want to leave either. Like that's the perfect place for him to be....keep thinking that way.

The 1st round isn't going to be as easy as it was this past year. How bad you think he'll want to stay if y'all get upset by Minnesota or OKC this year?

You really think he'll stay if LeBron goes somewhere and says to CP, come play with me? Please....

The Rockets have always had better success in the playoffs than the Clippers, even in recent years. The days of Yao and T-Mac always losing in the first round are a thing of the past. They're now a team on the rise, a true contender.

The likelihood of CP3 remaining in Houston next year is just as high (probably higher) than that of Paul George joining the Lakers.

Where, like LA? Sure CP3 will go back to LA to join LeBron and Paul George with the Lakers. Dream on.....

He gave up millions to join the Rockets, just like Durant did with the Warriors. He gave up $3M on his trade kicker.

If Carmelo wants to join him here, he will probably have to give up his 15% trade kicker entirely to come to Houston.

And who was running the point? CP. Yet yall are better because you got CP3, right? Did you know LAC was ranked 5 spots better than yall defensively? That's not all because of CP3. They actually had rim protectors. And you think you're all of a sudden getting out of round 2? Y'all are no better than the Clippers have been the past 5 years. And you see come playoff time.

Who says he doesn't decide to go to S.A. next year? And it doesn't matter if it's the Lakers, CP would have a better shot at a title (which is what he wants) wherever James is over being with Harden. And I'm sure he would jump at the chance to play with LeBron over Harden. Especially after he see how this mess plays out....

Lol. Its for one year. He didnt lose anything he wont be able to make up next year as a FA and he did that more so to get away from LA, not because he was so infatuated with HOU. HOU just happened to be the only team with a "shot" that would actually trade for him. S.A. wasn't going to trade for him when they know they'll have a shot next year at him. Just like LA with George. That's not smart business. Yet you are enamored with Morey for making the move. Bad business, period.

Ima laugh when Moreys dumbass trades for melo.

The only way that's going to happen is if they trade Ryan Anderson and a few other small pieces for Melo.

It's going to be a 4-team trade and they'll be trading Anderson's 3-year/$60M contract for Carmelo's 2-year deal.

Pretty much everyone was overpaid in 2016, including a whole bunch of Lakers, but Anderson more than most.

Morey knows how to fix his own mistakes (Howard is history). Trading Anderson for Melo makes sense.

The combination of Harden, CP3, and Melo is far better than anything the Lakers can possibly come up with.

This year, yea. No one should argue that. But Melo doesn't put y'all over the top. So honestly what's the point?

With Harden and CP3, all Melo would be is a spot up shooter. He doesn't rebound and his D is terrible.

Trading for Melo period doesn't make sense. The only way I see it working is if he agrees to come off the bench with Gordon.

I think it's bad because y'all are acting like this is it. Like y'all need to hurry and try for a title NOW. That's dumb. Morey is trading good assets for guys who might not be on the team a year or two from now.

Harden is still young and y'all should be building for two years from now and hope that the Warriors fall apart rather than going all in for it now. Cuz if you do and it doesn't work, and those guys aren't with you in 2020, then y'all still won't have a shot even if the Warriors break up.

Melo is a UFA in 2019. I'm not sure if he has an opt out for next year. But hypothetically let's say CP3 and Melo are both gone by 2019. Y'all Rockets fans are going to trash Morey.

In two years y'all could be in the same boat OKC was last year. Y'all could end up with a bleak future pretty soon all because sorry feels pressure to try and star pack his team to beat a team that currently looks unbeatable.
