Paul George to Thunder

Recommended Posts

Best case scenario for LA. He isn't winning anything in OKC and I doubt he would want to finish his career in OKC or with Westbrook.

Much better news than him being traded to S.A. or CLE. And perhaps Boston as well.

Lol. Who was making that excuse? He just had Durant for like 5 years. Anyone making excuses for him is a dumb fuck.

Ppl said that the only reason he averaged a triple double was because he had no one. Is that what you mean?

Now you just have to hope George doesn't make one of the all NBA teams.   It would be hard for George to turn down a max contract from OKC if he makes it.

Could have sworn he needed to make it this past season...

According to this that is not the case because George is no longer on his rookie contract.

George will qualify for the designated veteran player extension. A player qualifies for the DPE under certain stipulations, such as making one of the three All-NBA teams or winning Defensive Player of the Year or MVP the previous season. That player also must be on the team that drafted him or traded for him on his rookie contract. George making an All-NBA team would allow the Pacers to hand him a five-year deal worth more than $200 million under the DPE because Indiana took him at No. 10 in the 2010 NBA Draft. More importantly, it could give the Pacers an advantage of $70 million over what other teams are able to offer. Money won't be the only factor in George's decision to stay or go, but that is a lot of money to pass up.

The All-Star small forward and his current team have to make some tough decisions this offseason — and they may not be entirely in their hands. George signed a five-year, $91 million contract in 2013

From my understanding, he is no longer on his rookie contract. I doubt an extebsion counts as a continuation of his rookie contract,  but I could be wrong. I believe the only team that situation mattered for was Indiana.

Why not? Durant did. He will probably go to a contender like Boston or Cleveland, why play for a shitty team like LA?

You're really fucking stupid. I mean, to be ignoring everything thats coming out of his camp and still think winning is the most important thing to him. You're dumb. It's not about winning for everyone.

And winning must not be important for Morey and the Rockets since D'Antoni is their choice for coach.

Y'all gave up your future starting PG and a 1st rounder for a one year rental so you can get to the second round and lose again. Pathetic. Watch a great organization (that had a hiccup) show you how to build a championship roster.

The rules were different under Durant.  But Jake may have a point in that OKC may not get that advantage because of the trade.

His hate for the lakers prevents him from seeing anything that will challenge Houston after next year.

Hes praying we don't get George whom has already said he is going to be a Laker next year but knows deep down he will be and is super jealous George wasn't going to Houston when he thought he was.

You are so insanely jealous of the Rockets since they got CP3 after your sorry Lakers got screwed out of getting him in 2011.

Winning's not important to Morey because his team has the reigning coach of the year. Wow, what insight.....

No, only the Thunder were stupid enough to rent him for one year. That's why they got him so cheaply.

And who cares if he signs with the Lakers next year, it's not like he's going to magically turn LA into contenders.....

No, the Rockets got their future starting PG, not a 1-year rental. How is Beverley the Rockets' future starting PG?

Paul left LA to get past the 2nd round, something his old team never did (or anyone else recently in LA for that matter).

The backcourt rotation of Chris Paul, James Harden, and Eric Gordon is now 2nd to none in the NBA. Even better than GS.

You're right about one thing, we did get screwed out if Paul. But I am not jealous of y'all getting a Paul who is 6 years older than when we tried.

Coach of the year really has zero to do with winning the playoffs and getting to the championship.

And I really don't see how they justify MD as deserving considering y'alls defensive rating had you 18th in the league.

Paul is not staying with y'all past this year. Especially once he experienced what he has been in LA with the Clippers. As in not getting past round 2.

And just because his intentions are to get past round 2 doesn't mean it will happen. We'll see how confident he is in this team, we'll see if he signs an extension before next off season, or at all...

And to the third part, straight homer talk. Both Curry and Klay are better defensivley than Harden and both score more than CP3.

Gordon might be better than anyone in their bench but that doesn't push CP3 and Harden past Klay and Curry. You'll see once y'all lose again this year.

Now y'all about to go get Me lo and add to the all NBA NON defensive team.

Y'all opponents gonna average 110 on y'all lol. Can't wait.
