AussieTitanFan08 Posted February 28, 2017 Report Share Posted February 28, 2017 Garafolo on NFLN Total Access program just threw the Titans name into the mix as part of the Alshon Jeffrey sweepstakes. would be surprised if JRob was willing to get into a bidding war for Jeffrey, but maybe he wants a big bodied experienced NFL receiver as the finishing touch for the offense. it would also allow JRob to concentrate on the defense in the draft. I still think it's a strong possibility that the Titans pursue him. He's from South Carolina too, so we have an edge on location. It'll take 12-14 mil a year though, and there is some FA bust potential there for sure, but less so than with guys like Jackson, et al. As I said in another thread a few days ago, Robinson has a stated offseason objective of adding weapons to the perimeter and i strongly doubt he's going to go into the draft being pigeonholed with the sole avenue of achieving that objective being to draft one of two players in a weak WR class (Williams or Davis). Mularkey's offense needs a big time no. 1 WR that can win 1 on 1's to truly thrive/reach its potential. Edit: A quick fun fact: Alshon Jeffery is a team captain, so not just some asshole. Edited February 28, 2017 by tgo charleytolar, Face, Justafan, and 3 others 6 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
