And only a small percentage of those. The vast majority of Americans are not sniveling douchebags who have their entire identities tied up in who wins the presidential election. Most of them are simply scared that their lives will be worse under Trump because he'll do something ridiculous while in office or the more likely scenario of allowing the Republicans to spend recklessly while cutting taxes and pointing to make believe revenue streams as justification. Hell, we know that millions of people's lives may get worse if they privatize medicare and abandon the ACA without a proper replacement. Ryan is a fiscal conservative and i'm cool with that but my fear with him is that he'll focus on cutting the wrong things. The military doesn't need a blank check, we just need to stop picking wars we can't win. Going after planned parenthood is ridiculous and simply a way to get around the supreme court ruling. We might all be wrong about Trump and i'm willing to give him and Ryan a chance and support them both because I would want the same if the Dems were in control. It wouldn't happen and we all know it but that's besides the point. I hope i'm wrong about Trump and especially about Ryan. I hope they do great things. But you're fucking insane if you think people don't have a legitimate reason to be afraid that a guy who conned business partners, started Trump university, most likely hasn't paid taxes in 20 years (possibly illegally) and possibly colluded with both members of the FBI but also with RUSSIA to win an election after claiming the other side rigged it. They have every right to be upset and afraid just like you would be had Hillary won. Btowner, Jamalisms, Titans279, and 1 other

The revisionist history needs to stop. Is there ignorance on display with the riots? Sure. There has been on both sides. For a long time. Pretending that your side is clean and the other side is dirty is the big problem here. It's why we can't work together on anything. There wasn't the political campaign that led to this when Obama got elected either. People didn't like Obama but the only ones scared of him were the extremists. And there were still plenty of demonstrations. I can easily take the high ground on this. You guys have been crawling in the gutter and until you climb on back out, you have no right to complain about anyone. It's silly that your side has people wearing Trump that Bitch t-shirts and beating up people who attend their rallies and have displayed a litany of immaturity and then turn around and accuse the Dems of being a bunch of brats and whiners. Trump is the king whiner. I don't even consider myself a democrat. I'm more of a libertarian with a bunch of caveats. I agree with Trump on a lot of issues, but people have a right to protest. It's fucking silly to get upset by the protests. Riots sure but those will go away and I agree that those need to stop. They don't help anything. You guys have been throwing rocks for years. No one has a right to accuse the other side of racism or throwing rocks or any of that garbage. The fact that you guys are trying to play the victim card right now is goddamn hilarious. pat, and oldschool

TitanDuckFan
Yeah, I've been throwing verbal rocks, especially the last 3 years or so. This economy sucks for most people. There's a reason why ins coverage was extended to allow parent's covering their 26 Y/Os. Obama knew it sucked then and knows it still sucks now. And is still fighting for it. Because he knows 90% of all kids 19-25 have damned few, or no job prospects in his economy. But nobody asked for the day off after he got elected. Nobody was in mourning. Nobody said they couldn't take a test over it. Nobody was so crippled by fear they couldn't function. And if they had been no one would have cared, and no one would have constructed them a "safe space" and devoted resources to console them over election results. Seriously? And that protest article link you posted was from almost 9 months after obama took office. And the writer mis-characterizes the ire anyway. What the TEA Party were pissed about then (yes I was an early Tea Partier) was the notion and the expense of the bailout and the stimulus spending. And it started months before Obama took office. But I was gone by the time that protest rolled around, and the TP was only a portion of that protest. Besides, what took place that the article writer misses, is that was the 9/12 project of Glenn Beck's. It was far more than an "Obama protest" both in concept and execution. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9-12_Project Quote The 9-12 Project (alternatively 9/12 Project, 912 Project) is a group created by American television and radio personality Glenn Beck. It was launched on the March 13, 2009, episode of Glenn Beck, the eponymous talk show on Fox News Channel. A website was launched to promote the group, and several local 9-12 groups formed soon after in cities throughout the United States.[2] According to Beck, the purpose of the project is "to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001 ... we were not obsessed with red states, blue states or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the values and principles of the greatest nation ever created."[3] 9-12 represents the date following the September 11 attacks in 2001, and "9 Principles" and "12 Values" that Beck believes represent the principles and values shared by the Founding Fathers of the United States.[4] I didn't despise Obama. Never. But I had no use for Paulson, Geithner and their cronies that held the governments of both Bush and Obama and our congress hostage. And I didn't go out and march in the streets, or burn and destroy over his election. Nobody did. If that's what you believe, sorry, but that's revisionist history. And that protest? When it was over no windows were broken, no monuments defaced, no graffiti. Hell, there wasn't even much litter. Those people cleaned up after themselves. The people that assembled in DC that day loved this country, they weren't trying to tear it apart by calling the voters that elected Obama racists and misogynists, and xenophobes, and sexists and morons. It was the very definition of a peaceable assembly. Even if they weren't happy with Obama, nobody turned it against his voters. It was designed to capture the spirit we all shared the day after the 9/11 attacks, when we were united in spirit and in love of country. Hence the name, and the date it was held. And if that's what you want to call "crawling in the gutter" then I think you're the misguided one here. Popular Post Jamalisms
Everyone fell in line with Obama. We didn't have the birther and "he's a Muslim" (see: racism) movements. Trump himself didn't call for protests because of an EC and popular vote split (that didn't happen despite his confusion). We didn't have complete government shutdown and record (by far) obstruction. We didn't have unparalleled blocking of nominees, including unprecedented blocking of a Supreme Court nominee. Everyone just accepted him. We moved on and healed add a nation, right? That's why we elected someone who ran on - literally by his own words - racism, misogyny and bigotry. Because everyone just moved on. Titans279, oldschool, Justafan, and 2 others

Legaltitan
Trump guys. Yall wo . What else is it you are looking for? Trump supporters were talking about open armed result if he lost. This was abitter election. That shit doesn't end immediately. No one has mockedmillenials more than me over the years but just repeating "special snowflake" over and over is kind of dumb and grating. People have legit reasons to fear the unknown, and fear trumps rhetoric. The guy made his mark by throwing bombs. That's why yall love him so much. To act like it is irrational for people to have some fear of a guy who made his mark by being an ass is bs. People need to get over it. But you guys need to get over people leave not getting over it. You won. We are still here. We gotta live with trump but yall gotta love with us. Sorry winning has been so hard on you. oldschool, Justafan, and pat
