kgsTitan
You just know as soon as Cam has several bad games in a row and the media and everyone starts getting on him, he'll become the biggest whiny bitch ever and probably have a total meltdown. He's an emotionally immature idiot, and that will all come to a head at some point, guaranteed. I really despise people who act like "oh, I'm gonna trash-talk, and if you don't like it, shut me up". and "if you don't like me dancing and rubbing it in your face, don't let me score". That kind of attitude NEVER has lasting success at anything. It's pure arrogance and sign of insecurity that ensures you'll eventually self-destruct. Even Mike Tyson is smart enough to realize that. He said "If you're not humble, life will visit humbleness upon you."

It's a matter of time. Immature people like him are mentally weak, and it will happen. Probably when they lose their playoff game, the media will start with the "Is Cam really the answer in Carolina?" stuff. Then he'll get overly defensive with the "Look at how I lead the team during the regular season!" stuff. It usually snowballs from there.

Let me help you with this reach, brah You have no evidence that he's immature whatsoever besides a perception that you pulled out of your ass sometime when he was in Auburn. Trust me lady, if the worst thing your child is exposed to in life is Cam Newton's TD dance she's going to be OK. A lot of parent's are really annoying, they expect everybody to bend over backwards to accommodate their kids. Take them to a football game? Some people are going to curse. You don't like it? Don't bring em. 3 weeks ago I went out to a nice dinner, an expensive dinner, and a couple had their 2 kids with them & they were screaming & wailing at the top of their lungs. Finally some woman of about 60 asked the parents to take the kids outside or leave, they were trying to enjoy their dinner. Everybody was aghast. 'MY GOD.....THEIR KIDS!!!! Everything revolves around kids". Fuck that. This lady paid a lot of money, like I did, to enjoy a nice steak & some wine. The operative word is enjoy, which she obviously didn't. Parents need to stop burdening the rest of the world with their kids. Lol. Spoken like someone without kids. That being said I would have left if my kids were screaming. As for this stupid lady I will never understand why parents think pro athletes are role models. I make damn sure my kids understand the truth. kgsTitan
I was responding to the point you made that he's never had meltdowns in his pro career, even when he's struggled. Which is a lie. He's had many of them. You also stated that there's zero evidence that he's ever been immature, besides a perception from Auburn. Also a ridiculous lie, since his teammates have had to intervene with him multiple times. My point is that he's mentally weak and that will surface again. Done with this and you. It's why many have pointed to his maturity as why this team has done so well. He's developed into a real leader.

As for this stupid lady I will never understand why parents think pro athletes are role models. I make damn sure my kids understand the truth. I've got kids and it's not anyone else's responsibility to do squat for them. No family here either to lift a finger. Mother-in-law has come out to help a couple times for a while and it's very appreciated, but not expected. Then again, I am 45. Different outlook than most younger parents. My wife and I differ on the public behavior thing, or at least we did at 1st. I was of the mindset that it's our job to make sure our kids don't bother other people especially in non-child-based environments - i.e. shut the hell up at Fleur de Lys, scream all you like at Chucky Cheese (my kids have been to neither BTW). My wife seems to think that everyone's supportive of our screaming children, that they understand. After a long flight when they've kept everyone awake on the red eye, my wife notes all the supportive comments she received while getting off the plane. I point out to her that you'd have to be a huge ahole to walk up and tell her that her kids suck. A few positive comments do not mean that all others feel the same. Having worked in high end restaurants for years where kids where generally not expected to come through the doors, it's easy to attest to this. I'm also one of those parents that is more like to ask my kids What did YOU do? rather than What did THEY do to you? Pretty far from helicopter mode. As far as Newton, I'd rather have a player that hands the ball off to the ref and moves on on my team, but I wouldn't mind having a player who has a lot of opportunities (TDs) to make that choice either. It might be a bit tacky, but it is really not a big deal at all. Heck, Billy Whites Shoes Johnson was one of my favorite players as a kid. So can't get too pissed.
