10 years ago you'd have been crazy to think Tiger wouldn't break the record

He’s baaaaaack

lol he was aalready absolutely loaded when this happened. He's lost most of his promotions even with the apologies. Of all the possible responses this one makes the least sense.    Oh, and why in th

Yea, he's done.  He hasn't won a major since 2008 and is aging and now has back issues.  It's crazy to think that about 10 years ago he had a very good chance of passing Jack Nicklaus for majors championships.

The off field stuff derailed him big time and he has a bunch of injuries (mostly to knee and back) that sapped away some of his power.

His downfall has to be one of the most dramatic swings in professional sports history. He goes from being 10 strokes ahead of everyone in any major to not even being in the conversation on Sunday to even earlier than that too.

Kinda reminds me of a certain NFL football player ...

The guy was the best in the world at his craft for a number of years, and will always be remember as one of the greatest the world has ever seen.   He reached a level that few people ever reach in their lives, regardless of profession.

Nobody stays on top forever.   Even if the ride is now over for Tiger (which appears to be the case).....it was one hell of a ride.

It's not about how he is an average player, its spectacular how it happened seemingly overnight . Obviously there's a lot more to it than his scandal but that's what people will look at for the reason of his downfall.

A month or 2 with Butch Harmon coaching him again and he'd be back to competing for wins, guaranteed. That tells me he isn't done. His ego however will never allow that to happen.

The man stripes it on the range and practice rounds, his problem is he just can't seem to take it to the course for competitive rounds. The way he played in the Masters after not even being able to chip a golf ball just weeks prior says a lot about where he's at. Tiger Woods didn't just suddenly forget how to play golf, he didn't just become an average golfer. He still possesses the same amount of ability as he always has - minus his distance off the tee of course.

He should have never changed his swing, not only once, but 4 or 5 other times. I honestly feel bad for the guy, it's sad to watch. Imagine if LeBron James suddenly went from what he is now to averaging 8pts a game the rest of his career. People would be speechless, and they would feel cheated. Tiger won player of the year in 2013 and was tearing through some of golf's most difficult fields for W's that season. That wasn't that long ago. He still has another great run in him imo.

I don't see it. His psyche is totally shot. It has nothing to do with his swing, or his coaches. He needs to get back to mauling biddies. It's his only hope.

It's even crazier to think that most people actually believed that 10 years ago, not to mention a huge insult to the greatness of Nicklaus.
