luvyablue256
Hunter needs to sit. He gives terrible effort. Warmack needs to sit. He's been an embarrassment since arriving here. Levitre needs to sit. He looks like he's never played in the NFL a day in his fuckin life. At this point, these 3 stooges need to sit and watch their replacements try and take their jobs. OILERMAN
It's obviously hard to just bench a lot of guys because of the injuries and how an NFL team really works However I can see getting Spencer on the field in place of Warmack or Levitre. Something has to be done about this OL Alcibiades
Face
We all, the fans & team, were wrong about Hunter. He may improve but as of now he's a #3 WR, at least with Wright as the other starter. If it was AJ Green then maybe he'd suffice. But right now he's a stretch the field type #3, though Mett overthrew him on a bomb. Id give the interior guys a few more games. The protection seemed better with a QB that actually stood tall in the pocket yesterday. But all 3 of these guys are certainly benchable.
NashvilleNinja
Hunter does not need to sit. The opposite needs to happen with him. Your idea that he does not "give effort" is one of those fanisms. You can speculate all you want, but that's all it is. He had great chemistry with Mettenberger in pre-season and with time out on the practice field every day, getting into film and preparation for upcoming opponents, they will get that back pretty quickly. Face
Whisenhunt basically uses 3 WR as his base set anyway so it doesn't make a difference.
Mythos27
Yeah, Hunter definitely doesn't need to sit. The other two can be executed at high noon at the 50 yard line though. Soxcat, and SuperFreak90

Rogue
Who have we got to replace Levitre and Warmack? I was hoping Roos would slide over and replace Levitre when Lewan came in, but that's out now. Beyond Spencer, who is there to replace them?
NashvilleNinja
Hunter is a joke. Fwiw, Jimmy Smith didn't have more than 288 yards until his 3rd year on an NFL team. Terrell Owens didn't eclipse 1,000 until his 3rd season. The point being you don't just give up on a talent like Hunter 8 games into their 2nd season just because they're not doing their best Megatron impersonation. It's so shortsighted you could see the back of your eyeballs. If Hunter had never done anything to make you pause then maybe, but he's done more than enough for the team to keep him out there and see what he's got. At the very least we don't have much of anything to replace him with so all the gnashing of teeth is pointless. Thrill
IsntLifeFunny
There simply isn't anyone to replace these guys. Like others noted Hunter needs more reps. He at least gets till the end of the year to put it together, even if he does start seeing less snaps. It's sad that Spencer is probably an upgrade over either guard, but since they both suck so bad, and it seems to somewhat fluctuate week to week, how do we decide who to bench? I would think it would be Levitre, simply because of his age and injury issues, but what I saw from Warmack yesterday was absolutely brutal. The 2 point conversion try (terrible play call to run right at a singled up Watt) was laughable. He just isn't cutout to be a starting guard in the NFL, neither is Levitre. AFCman
How many "starters" do we really have? The Titans are a team of 2nd stringers and left overs. C_Train
Mythos27
Hunter isn't consistent but at least he occasionally scores and makes big plays. Can we really afford to bench anyone that can score or make plays on this team? Nate will likely be traded or cut at year's end so what's the point in benching Hunter? Venting frustration? Alcibiades
Hunter scored in this game. He still has amazing ability. He just needs to stop dropping the passes that hit him in the chest. Other big, fast receivers have had this same problem. You can't sit Hunter. You have to give him reps and hope he develops, because his upside is tremendous. tgo
Hunter is never going to be a consistent WR. He never has been. He's best suited as a complimentary player. I didn't like the pick when we drafted him, and he hasn't been able to improve on his flaws so far. Hopefully he proves me wrong in time.

He doesn't have the hands, and for a 6"4 guy, cannot for his life go up and get the football. He's will never be a #1 receiver.
