  1. Think it would be good to have it's own thread. Cardinals are set up to have an unbelievable draft. Also GB with 5 picks in the top 100 has a chance to elevate their team again. Definitely see us trading down from 38 if a top WR (AD Mitchell, OT, or CB isn't available) to pick up another top 100 pick.
  2. Sorry your welcome is ruined by what preceded your selection. I knew he'd be the guy and honestly was hoping that we basically get two AJ Browns, but glad to have him
  3. So it begins… Northwestern WR Cam Johnson - CSG All Star Game - Meeting
  4. Lets assume we are being realistic, what would you like to see happen? Including trades if you want. Feel free to pick a position or a list of names at a certain position. You can give 2 options if you want to pick 2 different 1st round picks (like one for Alt and another for Nabers). For me right now it's something like this: 1 - LT Joe Alt 2 - trade down and select a linebacker (Cooper, Gray, or Wilson) 3 - DL or edge 4 - WR Javon Baker 5 - best player available beyond this point, but there are holes to fill
  5. Would that change your mind about the value of TE at #7? Meaning running a 4.4 (or low 4.5), 40 inch vertical, great 10 yard split- Numbers which would be good for a WR. What exactly would be the argument against him, other than his position? George Pickens was less productive than Bowers at Georgia on a per game basis- it's not exactly a prolific passing attack. Yet he's been productive enough to be all American each year, and win the award for the nation's best TE twice . We'll likely be in the position to draft possibly the best collegiate TE of all time, and potentially one of the best-if not the best- NFL TEs ever. He's that good IMO. I tried to talk myself out of it, but I'm all in on Bowers at #7. If Levis can't throw the ball to him quickly, he deserves to be sacked behind a shitty OL.
  6. I didn't see a thread specifically on the 2024 draft WRs. It's been covered in several threads and a Mod can merge if they deem necessary but since it's a huge need, I figured it could use its own thread. Anyhow, I found this google doc chart a guy on reddit graciously made that lays out all the WRs from this draft class and their PFF stats. Its a great tool to get a handle on where each of these guys stand. FWIW, it was made bfore the combine and I cant see if its been updated yet. I assume, with the work he put into it, that the RAS column will be updated soon and as pro days come into play. But this covers everything from YPRR, contested catch, breakout age, etc.. all the stuff you can't find unless you have a PFF sub. He's got another reddit thread where he references past WR that were successful in the league by the same college metrics. Thought this would be a good start on finding guys after the first 3. Current class spreadsheet and reddit threads below... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12pCgsJPa9X-jjNMOZ_exJTAEfxmZOeETzEm8SNkuXec/edit#gid=1244172747

  8. Looking at my past year's mock drafts, the one I do this time of year appears to be the most accurate by either hitting player with team, player at correct draft selection, or matching team with the correct position. From what I have learned and observed, the draft rankings right after the Senior Bowl and just before the Combine usually are the most indicative of how teams for the most part will rank their boards. This is likely due to teams simply going with what they see on tape and it is free of the influence of surprise Combine performances, Pro Day performances, free agency, and of course draft rumors and smokescreens. That's not to say Combine's can't change a player's "draft stock". I think they can, but I don't think its as frequent as people assume nor as impactful. Its more likely a player hurts their stock by hurting themselves, arriving unprepared, or teams uncovering a medical or legal concern (basically everything non-football related). If a player does improve their stock, they likely are pushing themselves, at most, up one round. I have not gotten to the point where I've assigned all of my 1st round grades, but I estimate this draft finishing around 24. I'd have to go back and look at last year's, but I think I had something like 17 or 18 1st round grades, so in comparison this draft definitely much better at the top. That said, I do think this draft begins to fizzle out somewhere around 50. From Tennessee's perspective, that means this is probably the best year to be missing a 3rd round selection. I do think the presence of NIL in college has finally affected the NFL Draft for the first time in a significant way. We are also coming off the boom of the COVID years which made the past two drafts much deeper than normal. For this mock draft, I've used a composite of the most trusted and draft day proven draft boards (i.e. Bruglar, Breer, Charlie Campbell, PFF, Jeremiah) and used my own personal board as a tiebreaker (where I was allowed to implement teams' scheme and GM draft trends as an influence). No trades in this mock, as much as I could I tried to just stick to the board and slotted players where they made sense based on the team making the selection. There are instances where draft value or position value (JJ McCarthy, for example) make it to where I had to put them in certain spots to maintain the integrity of trying to accurately predict, so you can infer that there will be a likely trade in some spots. Teams italicized are teams I identified as most likely to trade rather it be up or down based on recent draft propensity to trade (I used the last three drafts to develop trends). As far as Titans related draft stuff, I'll talk about it in ensuing conversation, but I think Nabers or Odunze are more and more real possibilities, with the stunning development that I think Odunze has a real shot of going before Nabers based off me going back and watching him plus a lot of conversation that many have begun to have about him and where he ranks. Here's another thought-- I actually think its a strong possibility we trade back into the 1st round from 38 even if it means giving up a 2025 2nd round pick-- the run on tackles ends right around pick 41, but more importantly I think we will identify a player in that back end of the 1st round that we really like (Mims, Latham, Guyton, or even Paul). I think for us a successful draft is coming away with a starting tackle and starting game-changing WR. 1. Bears - QB Caleb Williams Williams going #1 is a done deal. Just very little chance Chicago passes on one of the top 3 QB prospects in the past 10 years for Justin Fields. 2. Commanders - QB Drake Maye There may be some momentum behind Jayden Daniels as QB#2 but I can't imagine Washington gambling here. They leave the draft with either Maye or Williams (via trade up). 3. Patriots - QB Jayden Daniels Daniels had an astronomical rise this past season, and with the amount of QB needy teams at the top the market pretty much locks him in the top 6. Its either Daniels or MHJ here at 3. 4. Cardinals - WR Marvin Harrison Jr. Cardinals have a massive need for a gamechanging WR to pair with Kyler Murray, and MHJ happens to be the best prospect in this years draft. 5. Chargers - OT Joe Alt Alt solidified himself as a premiere prospect in this years draft. Chargers are absolutely a wildcard but I think odds are Alt goes #5 whether its to Los Angeles or to another team in a trade. 6. Giants - WR Malik Nabers Nabers and Odunze are pretty interchangeable at this point. Both were very productive and both have distinct elite characteristics. I think more teams will see Odunze as the more complete WR but Nabers as the bigger playmaker. I cannot see Nabers getting past #7. 7. Titans - WR Rome Oduzne See above about where teams rank Odunze in comparison to Nabers. The race for WR#2 is much closer than many think. Fans here should get comfortable with the idea of Rome if no Nabers. 8. Falcons - ED Dallas Turner Unless Falcons trade up for Williams or Maye, I think the most likely scenario is that they get a deal done for Fields that does not include their 1st pick. They go Turner who is easily the top pass rusher this year. 9. Bears - QB JJ McCarthy QB needy teams will always move up for QBs with 1st round grades on them. I can't imagine McCarthy available beyond #12 which means he won't make it there. He's a much better prospect than his college stats give off. 10. Jets - LT Olu Fashanu Jets get lucky here and do not have to trade up using a limited arsenal of draft capitol. Fashanu is still a borderline elite prospect, and for a team that needs a top pass protector he's a steal at 10. 11. Vikings - DT Bryon Murphy Vikings will be in the market for a QB but do not appear to be a team that will move up in the draft. Missing out on McCarthy, they go with the versatile standout Texas DT who's play last season lands him as DT#1. 12. Broncos - TE Brock Bowers Bowers is a top 5 prospect and a more complete TE prospect than Kyle Pitts was in 2021. Outside of Los Angeles there does not appear to a place for him in the top 10. That said teams will trade up for elite players who fall so rather to Denver or to another team, I think this is the lowest we see him go. 13. Raiders - CB Quinyon Mitchell If you ask five different analysts of who the top CB prospect is, you'll get five different answers. Mitchell was a standout at the Senior Bowl which quelled concerns of the level of competition he dominated in college. 14. Saints - OT Taliese Fuanga Moving down the draft board, Fuanga represents BPA. Here they take the monster tackle who likely represents the team moving away from disappointing former pick Trevor Penning. 15. Colts - DE Jared Verse Verse would have been a top 20 pick last year had he declared and went on to have a very good year even if he didn't exactly enter into the dominant and elite realm that many had hoped. 16. Seahawks - OC Jackson Powers-Johnson JPJ solidified himself as the top center in the draft at the Senior Bowl and likely secured his status a 1st round prospect. Many teams have an urgent need at center and the amount of good ones are limited, which is why Seattle takes him here. 17. Jaguars - OL Graham Barton Jacksonville is another team that has urgent needs on the interior offensive line and Barton represents a player who can play across the line. His best position will be at center or guard. 18. Bengals - WR Brian Thomas Good value pick here as Thomas goes at 18 and is the 4th WR off the board. Similar to Cede Lamb, Thomas can contribute to a team like Cincinnati who may be losing two of its top WRs this off-season. 19. Rams - ED Laiatu Latu Latu is a probable top 10 pick if he did not have the medical concerns. Los Angeles will have a local advantage and take him here to fulfill a big need. 20 Steelers - CB Cooper Dejean DeJean is getting the safety label by some, but I think scouts will view him more favorably and for what he is which is a top CB prospect. He's represents value and need here at 20. 21. Dolphins - OT Tyler Guyton Guyton is another player that solidified his status as a 1st round prospect at the Senior Bowl. He's got ideal size and length and excels in pass pro. He could be a replacement for Terron Armstead who may retire. 22. Eagles - CB Nate Wiggins Wiggins is another candidate to be the top CB selected due to his great length and potential newsworthy speed. Eagles need secondary help everywhere so hard to see a top DB prospect getting past them. 23. Texans - DT Jerzhan Newton Newton to many is the best DT in this year's draft. The late 1st is more reflective of where he sits on draft boards. He's undersized and lacks length despite being a top pass rusher. Houston takes him to continue rebuilding its defensive front. 24. Cowboys - OT Amerius Mims Dallas took Tyler Smith two years ago and he excelled to the point where he's the likely LT of the future following Tyron Smith, but Mims at 24 poises too much potential and value to pass up rather it be as a tackle option for Dallas or in a trade for one of the tackle needy teams. 25. Packers - S Tyler Nubin I sit on the side of analysts who have Nubin rated amongst the top 32. This year's safety class is below average, but Nubin has been versatile and rock steady in his college career. Teams with big safety needs will push him to the top of boards. 26. Bucs - OL Troy Fautanu This is the part of the draft where anything can happen because after 24, pretty much every player to about the 45th ranked player carries a similar grade. Bucs go offensive line understanding the on them is happening early and choose the versatile lineman who can start on the interior day one. 27. Cardinals - OT JC Latham This may be a surprise to see Latham still available this late in the 1st round, but I think this represents his true value and it's a matter of preference compared with guys like Guyton and Mims. He's a true RT that is dominant in the run game but inconsistent in pass pro. 28. Bills - WR Troy Franklin Franklin was Mr. Dependable for Oregon this past season and is one of the true deep field threats in this years draft. For teams that like to stretch the field vertically he's a great addition. 29. Lions - CB Terrion Arnold Arnold's play this year allowed him to surpass his teammate according to most boards. While he can be over-aggressive and fooled in coverage, he does possess better measurable qualities, and showed game to game progression. 30. Ravens - ED Darius Robinson Robinson was another Senior Bowl winner and with the lack of great edge defenders in this year's draft his stock will likely receive a market boost. He's scheme diverse and plays hard which makes him attractive to teams like Baltimore. 31. 49ers - OT Kingsley Suamataia Suamataia is going to be an OL Coach's dream to develop. He's got great length, tenacity, and very surprising athleticism for someone his size. He likely won't start immediately which hurts his stock, but he can develop into a trusted starting left tackle by the end of year two. 32. Chiefs - WR Ladd McConkey Fresh off a SB win with a struggling offense due to the lack of reliable wideouts. Chiefs will have their pick of the 3rd-tier level WRs in what may be an all time great WR draft class. They go with McConkey whose downfield speed, hands, and trusted route running gives Mahomes exactly what he is missing. 2nd Round 33. Panthers - QB Bo Nix 34. Patriots - OL Jordan Morgan 35. Cardinals - CB Kool-Aid McKinstry 36. Commanders - LB Edgerrin Cooper 37. Chargers - ED Chop Robinson 38. Titans - LT Patrick Paul 39. Giants - CB TJ Tampa 40. Commanders - ED Bralen Tice 41. Packers - CB Ennis Rakestraw 42. Vikings - QB Michael Penix 43. Falcons - WR Adonai Mitchell 44. Raiders - OC Zach Frazier 45. Saints - WR Keon Coleman 46. Colts - CB Kamari Lassiter 47. Giants - DL Brandon Dorlus 48. Jaguars - WR Xavier Worthy 49. Bengals - DT Tvondre Sweat 50. Eagles - ED Adissa Isaac 51. Rams - CB Kalen King 52. Steelers - OC Sedrick Van Pran 53. Dolphins - OG Christian Hayes 54. Eagles - WR Ja'Lynn Polk 55. Browns - WR Malachi Corely 56. Cowboys - LB Junior Colson 57. Packers - RB Jonathon Brooks 58. Bucs - ED Chris Braswell 59. Texans - TE Jatavion Sanders 60. Bills - S Jaden Hicks 61. Lions - DE Marshawn Kneeland 62. Ravens - WR Roman Wilson 63. 49ers - OL Cooper Bebee 64. Chiefs - DT Kris Jenkins
  9. 24hr rule to soak in a digest the 2023 draft and then move onto the 2024 draft (seriously though just wanted a place to put the Titans current 2024 draft capital so I can reference it in the future) Depending on whether conditions were filled on the Tyree Gillespie trade last offseason. The Titans currently are scheduled to have 1st Round 2nd Round 4th Round 7th Round 7th Round Panthers Pick (Dennis Daley Trade) 7th Round Eagles Pick (Ugo Amadi Trade)
  10. He's giving me Aaron Rodgers vibes. Great pocket presence, scrambles to throw. Has every throw and can give touch or low trajectory with amazing accuracy. Plus, he has the IT factor. You can't beat his stats either.
  11. The pre-draft process really ramps up this weekend with the commencement of the East/West Shrine practices on Saturday and the Senior Bowl practices on Tuesday. Below are a couple of videos with East/West Director Eric Galko and Senior Bowl Director Jim Nagy talking through some guys to watch. Specifically on the Senior Bowl these rosters are absolutely stacked with top 100 prospects.
  12. Would bring some speed to the WR group.
  13. I haven't watched any live games of Jordan Morgan except what's on YouTube have any of you followed this guy? Looks good and possibly a trade tackle to consider.
  14. So my quickly slapped together position tier list had me curious. How would you all rank the positions. For the sake of reducing arguments over what each person intended as far as draft resources for that position. Tier 1 top 3 Tier 2 top 15 Tier 3 first round Tier 4 2nd round Tier 5 mid round premium Tier 6 mid round Tier 7 late round Tier 1, QB, LT, Edge Tier 2 Cb1, WR1, DT, RT Tier 3 Elite TE/RB Tier 4 WR2, CB2/NB, Elite C Tier 5 C, S Tier 6 G, RB, TE, WR, CB Tier 7 K, P
  15. If it's a QB and I am assuming Williams is gone then I pray the team makes a play to move up for Drake Maye. I think he is special. If it's not a move for a QB then I can't help but get excited at the thought of either Brock Bowers at TE, Kool-Aid Mckinstry at CB, Chop Robinson at EDGE, or Emeka Egbuka at WR

  17. @titanskick8851thought I would leave this here for you lol
  18. Hoping it’s an early night for the Titans. Let’s go!
  19. Just pray there is at least one WR there worth taking…
  20. I had watched Levis very early in the process and liked him, the more it went on the more I didn't like him at all, so went back and watched him closely. Games watched: 2021: - Miss State -Louisville -Missou 2022 - Ole Miss - Florida - Miami (OH) Positives: - Effortless arm - Has shown the ability to go through progressions if given time - Some ability to make something out of nothing on broken plays, flipping the ball out etc, decently elusive despite size - Throws well on the run, accuracy and velocity - Vs Missou, good hard PA and NFL throw ability - Great game with legs vs Louisville (4 TD's). Good athlete on designed runs and physically imposing, as a runner he is a bit like Josh Allen and finishes runs (leaped a defender in this game) - The last part is probably a negative, doesn't protect himself at all, takes a lot of shots and fumbled trying to go over a defender in one of the games, needs to learn to slide - Gets hips flipped nicely on roll outs to his left, not really going to throw off platform moving left which is probably a good thing - Good example of this vs Mia (OH), great NFL throw deep to left sideline moving left, NFL throw - Clearly a pro offense. More shotgun than what the Titans play but clearly from the shanahan tree and plenty of hard PA looks that he will see here too -Will convert 3rd downs at the pro level. Good velocity and deciveness on short curles/slants etc, puts the ball in pretty good spots on those plays, plus the ability with his legs -Lots of YAC on tape. A lot of it is screens and pretty good receivers but also puts the ball in some good spots. (As an aside, Wandale Robinson shows up all over the place in 2021, awesome receiver) -Not afraid to throw into traffic, may be a negative but also will throw to covered receivers unlike Willis Negatives: - Very strange mechanics, can look good at times but then shotputts the ball or sidearms it. Inconsistent especially under pressure - Often sticks too long on the primary receiver, missed 2 wide open receivers vs Fla due to this and had a terrible pick in the RZ vs Mia (OH) - Puts the ball in harms way all the time, late on throws an issue, could be an INT machine early - Scattershot accuracy. vs Miss state had a bad underthrow on a pick, overthrow on a wide open WR, pick dropped. Rough game, 3rd pick completely missed a defender underneath a receiver - Very poor deep ball. Over or underthrows all the time. Had one nice deep TD vs Florida but was also a great catch by the WR - Doesn't recognise pressure at all at times, in 2021 showed some ability to slide and keep eyes downfield but was much worse in 2022, dropped eyes far too often and isn't quick enough to not take the sack in those situations. Terrible in this aspect vs Ole Miss in 2022 and much worse that season in general. - Accuracy over the middle in General is poor. Very often behind receiver, also a few throws high and low but throwing behind receivers on crossers is a big issue NFL Comp: Hate comps but people seem to like them. I have seen Locker comps, but he's way more confident and not as bad in the pocket. Honestly the name that kept coming to my mind was Daniel Jones. As a runner plus poor TD production, throws behind receivers etc, it reminded me of pro Daniel Jones Overall, he's an OK QB prospect imo. I think he's coming in to an offense that should suit his strengths, but the accuracy issues and inconsistency in the pocket lead me to believe they'll be picking a QB again in a couple years *Note: All games above are on youtube for anyone interested in disagreeing with me

  22. 2023 QB draft analysis: all based on highlight tapes (they can be very telling) also, a few sec QBs analysis are based on prior knowledge. Bryce young- This is my guy as a bama fan. He’s basically Tua but more of a playmaker, where Tua is a passer. Bryce is also much more durable. What makes Bryce so dangerous is unrealistic football intelligence. He knows where the los is and can checkdown just before crossing the line turning any pass play into a makeshift rpo. He’s also the most clutch QB I’ve ever seen play. (and his playbook knowledge of where his guys are is crazy) This is a guy you trade multiple picks to move up and get. Hendon Hooker- I like Hendon hooker. He’s got what it takes and having the level of success in the sec that he had while not at bama, ga, or lsu is impressive. It also speaks volumes that he built on an impressive 2021. His accuracy is not quite elite. I’m pretty sure he could’ve had more touchdowns against bama if memory serves correct. If you draft him, I’m not sure he’d be better as a rookie than Dobbs is now. CJ Stroud- Size, arm, accuracy, and placement. There are no signs that point to him not being a star, but….He’s not the only buckeye QB to look good at an overwhelming OSU team against the B1G but He did play well in the post season. The big concern with him is this…. He may be staring guys down because his Overwhelming line and unfair WR corps allow him to just stand comfortably flat footed and throw. I’m sure an OSU die hard would make a great case for him but without seeing him play a full game, I believe you could see a real Trent Richardson scenario. He’s talented enough but he still has to prove he can create something at least to Malik Willis level before I’d be thrilled. OSU is just makes it too easy Will Levis- I believe what we have here is excitement over a qb with NFL size performing well with a bottom feeder SEC team. Put him on an Ole Miss or Florida and he’d be hyped but not top5 hyped. Arm is not too strong either. QB’s are hard to predict but I question the legitimacy of this guy. He’ll fall in this draft. Anthony Richardson: Another big body and big arm. He’s earned the reputation as being a big time dual threat but the tape shows a more average run ability with the top end speed of a guy you’d expect that can earn a D1 scholarship. If you want a guy who can throw 60 passes a game to mcmath and pull it down occasionally then he’s a good choice. I’ll pass on this guy. McKee: Kid throws some dots just where they need to be, but his arm is just not NFL worthy. He throws some sloppy looking softball and his a little bit of a statue. Also, you look at the score of the games he’s making plays in and that’ll scare you. You’d expect a guy who could make it at te next level would have his team scoring more points….Yikes Jake haener: Haener is actually pretty good and has underrated arm strength. His ball placement is nice and his completion percentage is impressive. Watch his tape and you’ll see he’s just got a little more “it” factor than others. He’s a guy you’d love to get between rounds 4-6. Stetson Bennett- He actually played well and could be was somewhat of a dynamic playmaker in 2022. He showed a lot more confidence than in 21 as well. However, he’s not an NFL QB. Georgia didn’t have an amazing WR corps but he is a beneficiary of an overwhelming team against inferior opponents (yes I know it’s sec) and still managed to be kinda mediocre. He’s about a smaller Logan woodside at best. Jaren Hall- He’s a lot like haener. He can improvise a little and can place some good balls. His legs will be limited a lot more in the nfl. He seems like more of a college playmaker than nfl QB. I think haener is a better choice. He wouldn’t be a terrible pick late in the draft. Max Dugan- He’s definitely dynamic but maybe limited in the traditional QB role. I think he’s a little underrated but he could have an inflated name from being apart of a highflying TCU offense in the weak big12. He’s worth a pick imo especially if you can get him round 5 even.
