Hall Of Famer

Hall Of Famer (5/5)

  1. Major understatement. Down 3-0 early, a recipe for a letdown game and to phone it in with the foregone conclusion the streak is over. Not this team. I don't think people realize for much of the early part of this season the narrative was to trade a generational goalie and tank. We are now just for games back of a hosting a playoff series as the 4 seed--with the best winning streak the franchise has ever seen. The Josi goal in OT was beautiful.
  2. Normal Titans fans: "How horrible, hope VY10 is okay!" Titansreport:
  3. I will always be a little worried about the knee--but at this point, who cares? The contract isn't batshit insane. More importantly, we didn't sell our second round pick. If he ends up busting out, I will sit comfortably with this--reward outweighs the risk we took on.
  4. Yeah and even Murray--I like the gamble. We see players like this do better on different teams in the NFL all the time. He's a great athlete that was in a complicated scheme coached by someone who didn't use him effectively. We can reassess and use him in a way that plays to his strengths. Player acquisition is always a gamble. But all these picks seem like mitigated risks. Personally, this just feels like the first time--maybe ever--the team is moving towards a new identity. Even with the Julio Jones acquisition paired with AJ--it felt like Vrabel and Henry were the team's identity, an extension of Fisher ball. This feels different. A different direction. Being bold. Investing in the passing game. Investing in the secondary. Not even having a run first RB on the roster. Levis has to pan out--but if he doesn't, oh well--another rookie QB on a rookie contract and Chef Ran trying a new recipe. A lot here we can let ourselves feel hope. I am not some dumb homer guaranteeing a super bowl, but I do enjoy seeing the team potentially changing for the better and modernizing.
  5. This is the kind of off-season that some shit poster on this board would propose and everyone would've clowned them and said to put down the controller and that this isn't madden. I can't believe we got him for cheaper draft compensation and cash than I could've hope for. Obviously it's a gamble and the issues are apparent. For that money and that compensation, while Levis is on a rookie deal? Love it.
  6. Lol. Let's send DeShaun Watson to Brazil. What could possibly go wrong?
  7. I hate the Sharks. Damn that game was satisfying. Since we're Preds fans here, I've always kind of loved the fact that my Tennessee rooting interests have always been grounded in the number 9. As a kid, obviously the Titans were defined by McNair who was my favorite player. In 2010, the Grizzlies signed Tony Allen (Grit and Grind grizzlies) Then Forsberg comes along to Nashville in 2013. Safe to say 9 has become my favorite number.
  8. For the price, I was really hoping to retain Autry. It's clear our attention was elsewhere. I like Joseph-Day. This is the exact type of player you often see bounce back on a different team. Still some quality guys out there--we can still build.
  9. So far my only complaint about this offseason is that we didn't bring back Autry based on the contract he got.
  10. Have been extremely fun to watch. For a while it looked like they were tanking--and then became the hottest team in the sport. It's certainly more of a longshot that not, but I give them a punchers chance depending on who they match up with in the playoffs because they have the kind of elite goal tending that could win a cup. How insane would that be?
  11. Seeing Trump's mental decline play out makes it all more glaringly obvious the Biden dementia angle was a class conservative projection tactic playing out, quite successfully I might add. It's the same move they used labeling Biden and Hillary as criminals---you can either 1) choose to believe what is being sold or believe it's a weakness of both candidates or 2) dismiss the argument itself as partisan political strategy. Either way, it normalizes these concepts in political discourse and diminishes the seriousness of it all with the public at large. Desensitization, apathy, etc.
  12. How many times have we seen a CB have a stretch like this and fail to replicate it in previous seasons?
  13. I think Sneed is a good player, but paying that much to a corner with a knee concern who has really only commanded this level of attention for one year is something I am hesitant on anyways. If we missed on Sneed, there are other veteran CBS we can take a chance on. Indy will have a lot of money tied up in the secondary--DB seems like a position where there is just not as much stability from season to season. With the Ridley signing, I am certainly open to tackle/CB in the draft, especially if someone gets pushed down.
  14. Cleveland area talk radio will be hilarious on Monday. Hosts desperately defending Stefanski while callers say that Vrabel was hired to essentially be coach in waiting and clean house. I'm sure they're going to want to trade for Justin Field and see if Maurice Clarett has gas left in the tank. That or just salivate at the idea of Vrabel replacing Ryan Day (which will never happen). I know locals everywhere are morons, but even more enjoyable when you are the outsider laughing.
