Jonboy got a reaction from Pragidealist in Announcing: LIVE DRAFT SHOW - Two Tone Crew
How will picks 1 - 9 fall? Who will the Titans pick? Do you hate or love the choice? Share in the experience with Titans Report as it happens.

That’s right guys… this Thursday, April 25th, the Two Tone Crew will be livestreaming our 52nd episode to coincide with the first round of the NFL Draft. We’re incredibly excited to announce both @Cyrus and @notsolegato will be joining myself, @TitansGuru, and @Jamalisms for the live show. Most importantly, we hope you guys will be joining us as well.

We'll definitely be recording through the Titans selection and the discussion will continue on after the pick is made, potentially even the entire first round. It really just depends on the interaction and feedback we get from the audience. You’ll be able to reach us during the draft via chat or call-in. More on that below…

When: Thursday, April 25th at 8PM EST

    Where: https://new.livestream.com/accounts/3720629/events/2050668

Chat? @TitansGuru will be posting the regular chat we're all familiar with. We’ll solicit questions and check-in on the chat throughout the draft. Hopefully you guys will have the chat and the podcast going together.

Call-ins: Should anyone wish to share their thoughts live, there will be a point during the show that we'll ask for your calls. You can call-in at 615-290-5500.

We sincerely hope you all can make the livestream, but if you can’t, don’t worry. We’ll still be recording and posting the show here on the site as well as iTunes and all the other usual locations.

Please keep your eyes on this thread for further details leading up to the draft, as well as any changes we may need to make.

This is surprising. I looked at last season's stats:http://www.titansonline.com/team/statistics.html

    TEN Touchdowns-- 36
    OPP Touchdowns-- 55

    TEN Def Intercepts-- 19
    OPP Def Intercepts-- 16

    TEN Def Sacks-- 39
    OPP Def Sacks-- 39

The one glaring differential is in our shortage of touchdowns. That is an offensive problem.

That's true, but there are also more of them. You could also look at it by saying we've interviewed all of the 1st round types.

It's clear the team wanted to get a good look at the top-tier all the way down to mid-tier guards. They're probably trying to gauge just how much separates them to see if Warmack/Cooper actually warrant being taken in the 1st or if they'd be fine with one of the other guys you mentioned.

I really hope they're considering WR early even if it isn't the guy I want. They need to take their highest rated WR/TE on the board.

These comments seem to indicate they're at least considering it. Comments about G and DB being deep lead me to think they feel they can get 1 later.

I didn't get the impression that he barely mentioned wide receiver. I'm paraphrasing a bit but he essentially stated that they would be open to taking a receiver to "help Jake" or add offensive power. It's just a matter of who, I take it.

This is what the draft is all about. You scout...you make assessments of all these players (they ALL have some sort of red flag) and then you choose the guy you think can make the biggest impact for your team. People were saying the same stuff about JPP and they were all wrong. People all said this crap about Tebow and for the most part they were all right. The truth is.... No one here has inside info....no one here is an expert... And even if they were... The experts get it wrong all the time.

Some people do have some inside info on CP.  Anyone that is around UT's football program or knows people that are around UT's program would know that CP was very well liked by his teammates and the former coaching staff.  He was well liked at his JUCO by his teammates and coaches as well.  I don't know where these rumors about him being a headcase or immature have surfaced because that is completely off base with everyone that has known him in the past 1.5 years in qualifying for UT and then his playing days at UT.

He's a good kid and he is a hard worker.  He is as athletically talented and freakish in certain ways as any skill player i've ever seen.  Yes he is raw.  Yes he is not very bright (hence why such a gifted athlete from a powerhouse high school program went to JUCO in the first place).   He will need some time to learn the game, but he is capable, he will put in the time and he is very coachable.  He's a really well liked guy as is Justin Hunter.  Those are 2 guys that you want representing your program on and off the field.  Both are classy kids that are always happy and very easy for teammates and coaches to deal with and be around.

There is obviously a lot of smokescreening and bullshit being tossed around to scare off teams from picking him.  Half of the stuff out there about immaturity and a headcase doesn't make sense unless its crafty deception to try and get him to fall to their team.   There is a reason why he was invited to the draft.......he is the most explosive and athletically talented player in this draft by a significant margin.  A team in the first 12 picks will take a chance on a kid with such immense potential and a good work ethic, even if he is very raw and not very smart.

Jonboy reacted to pierce2walker in So are these guards the best interior linemen the draft has seen in 20 years?
Thank you Mercalius, I couldn't have said it much better myself.

I don't dislike Cooper and Warmack.  I wouldn't burn my jersey if we picked either one because I think they will become good players.  I just think the best move would be to go in another direction and pick an interior guy in a different round.

For the record, if I had to pick a guard in the 1st I'd go with Cooper.  I know a lot of people grade Warmack higher, but I think Coopers athleticism and movement ability make him a much better fit for our blocking scheme.

Haha. Yeah it's also unclear when/where he asked Brocato and HOW he asked the question. Did he lead-in by mentioning CP and/or Austin? Mention the wonderlic specifically?

I'm also curious as to why he bumped Austin ahead of CP in the original article. Maybe the first article I posted is just his personal opinion rather than the scout rankings?

    Quick Preview
Austin- Most exciting player in the draft
Patterson-Best returner since Hester; concerning background, incredibly explosive
Allen- Smooth for big man, complete player
Hopkins- Natural receiver, good ball skills, but not a speedster or special
Hunter- Probably most physically gifted WR; has speed, but not explosive, too many drops

Eifert- Scouts struggle to find a hole in his game
Ertz- Good route runner, strictly a receiver, smooth and runs well, smart
Escobar- Doesn't block, players faster than he timed, catches well, a taller Aaron Hernandez
