  1. If you're trying to say it's not an apples to apples comparison, whatever - you're splitting hairs and missing the point. If you're trying to say Simmons isn't on par with Brown or IDL doesn't matter - there's no point in arguing with you.
  2. I don't think Brunskill is an answer, but you are installing a rookie at LT, a new Center, and likely a new RT. It's good to have some continuity, and Radunz can step in and be a decent option if Brunskill gets hurt. I think that's fine as a one-year stop gap, and then they can draft or sign a young guard next year as a more permanent solution. I'm concerned about whether their answer is to keep Brunskill at RG and push Radunz out to RT. I don't think either of those guys has enough anchor to hold up, and both have had injury issues. unless they bring in some more guys, there is nothing behind them. I don't think this will be the plan, though.
  3. This wouldn't be my choice either. I really like Cooper and Payton Wilson there, but they have huge needs elsewhere, and LBs are easy to find. I hope they look elsewhere.
  4. Simmons is a fantastic player. Trading him away would be akin to trading away AJ Brown in his prime. Hell, it would be worse because at least they didn't have to pay Brown.
  5. Rodgers might not survive preseason even if he doesn't play in the games!
  6. The Titans have pieces, but no one in FA will take this DL from average to elite. It's ridiculous to even talk about at this point. Who are you bringing in... Clowney? 39 Y/O Calais Campbell? Van Noy's broken remains? I'm fine with that. If healthy, I think a guy like that could make the Titans better, but it isn't taking them to elite territory this year. Guys like Lawson, Danna, and Barnett are available but they aren't any better than Key. If they want an elite pass rusher, they must draft him. Here is the problem with that, though. The pass protection has been so bad for multiple years now that you can't execute a drop-back passing game. Callahan's offense is pass-heavy. More important than that is the evaluation of Will Levis. The Titans are NOT contending this year. This year's only goal is to add some quality pieces you can build around, develop the offense, and evaluate Will Levis while trying to compete for the division. The Titans are not in a position to sign an elite pass rusher this year, and honestly, this is a bad year to try and get one anyway with this draft class. The Titans tried to sign guys like Armstead and Young and never got a real shot at it. Now we are down to the IR Rangers, the upside projects, the zero upside placeholders, and the dudes one step from the grave. You can argue they should have brought Autry back, but we don't know what they value in the new defense. 33 YO Autry at 10 APY might not be a great fit. Both Van Noy and Clowney are available and were pretty good in the Ravens defense. That's probably your best shot with a short-term deal to get you through the season. Pair him with a draft pick who you can hopefully develop. None of that should stop them from getting Sneed, a fantastic player they can build around and who fits their timeline.
  7. I can get him a job in the Army. We're always hiring, and we're the biggest team in the world! He wouldn't even have to intern; he could start immediately!
  8. Desperately needed help on that DL. Good signing.
  9. If they can fix the offensive line, we should know pretty quick if Levis is the guy. If he can’t put it together by the end of the year with a decent supporting cast and this coaching staff, you have to move on.
  10. I like the value of some of the mid round guys like Cam Hart much more. Titans have shown some interest in Lassiter, but I think there’s better value than that.
  11. Trump is a clown. It's still insane to me that people fall for an obvious conman. That man is as patriotic as he is religious. I'm sure he was saluting as he was getting pissed on by Russian hookers.
  12. https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/18/politics/trump-464-million-dollar-bond/index.html Hard to blame them for not trusting Trump to come up with the cash or being unwilling to use properties as collateral when you were just convicted of getting fraudulent loans by lying about the value of those properties. This entire affair reminds me of Enron.
  13. I'm fine to discuss anything as long as it's not an obvious bait question leading to race or some other discussion where you can talk about me like I'm not there or attempt to paint me as some neo nazi wannabe. I give you the benefit of the doubt because I've been here a long time, and so have you, and I know that while your comments were probably the most insulting thing anyone has ever said to me on here (and that is saying something), that you probably didn't mean them the way I took them. Still, I don't think it ever occurred to you, which is why I've been hesitant to really engage with you at all.
  14. Still holding out hope that they figure it out with Sneed.
  15. They can always bring Dupree back! You can get him for what he's actually worth this time!
  16. Value signing that gives you some flexibility. I'm fine with it as long as it's a small one-year deal and he's not penciled in as the starter like they did with Dillard.
  17. Fields has all the tools. Just proof once again, that’s not enough. Teams mess this up over and over again. He had issues with feel in the pocket, throwing with anticipation, and ball placement coming out. For every Josh Allen that improves on that stuff, there are ten who never do. As a front office, you get one crack. Don’t waste it on the athletic guy who lacks the most important qualities of actually playing QB.
  18. Yeah, that's where I think he was being disingenuous. It's pretty clear to me that spending needs to be reined in, and revenue loops need to be closed. Even a lot of the ultrawealthy have publicly denoted that it's unfair how they can manipulate the system to avoid taxes by just borrowing against assets that continue to gain value at a fraction of what it would cost to pay capital gains, much less income tax. Meanwhile, income tax carries by far the largest tax burden by people who have far fewer assets to actually pay with. His idea there is pretty regressive in my opinion. I don't know enough about his point about other countries not taxing assets to go there, but it wouldn't surprise me if the piece about France is true, but it lacks a lot of context.
  19. Lukewarm on the idea of bringing Davis back. They need an explosive speed element. Davis doesn't give them anything they don't already have in spades.
  20. I tend to think the opposite, but I'm not paid millions of dollars to do this either. I question the strategy but look forward to being proven wrong by the results on the field.
