Why? Because if we are "under the radar" opposing coaches won't know how to gameplan against him? These are professionals who watch hours of film on the opposing team a week, staying under the radar only effects what the national perception of the Titans is. I have no doubt in my mind MM is humble enough to handle popularity.

EXPERT ANALYSIS I say Titansreport adopts the Rams in the NFC!

Bullshit and you know it. NOD would have gotten IR'd while Mac would have just been too much for Whiz to take down. Mac would have prevailed! -
Fight to the death: Knife vs bat who wins?

I keep a weighted lacrosse stick (pretty much just a lead pipe) in my car under the driver seat just for that reason. I never have road rage and wouldn't pull over and get out of the car but it's just nice to have instead of throwing it out since I don't play lacrosse anymore. -
The only reason I would consider the award going to Cooper is the fact that Carr has been absolutely lights out compared to last year. He is having a statistically great year for a rookie but if I were voting that would be my biggest deciding factor... But if I were voting I'd go MM.
-
There's still a quarter of the season left, if MM throws the ball like he did this past week I am certain people will look past the wins (unless the Bucs go to the playoffs)

You'd think a Titan fan would have thicker skin when it comes to losing

EXPERT ANALYSIS I say Titansreport adopts the Rams in the NFC!

ILF, I have been telling people that constantly who talk about Fisher like the media did. He has done absolutely nothing to truly try to improve the position. I completely understand passing on RGIII for what they got but to not take a shot at a 2nd tier prospect with all the extra picks is preposterous. -
Glowing reports from NY on Mariota

That second article was an extremely interesting point of view. You can tell he clearly would rather be us than the playoff contending Jets, how ironic. -
How scary is the thought of Webster staying
wiscotitansfan replied to Tex in a Can's topic in Titans and NFL Talk
I mean Front Office changes, I just don't see the radical change in GM and coach with how much dissaray there is at the very top of the organization ie ownership. We already are changing our coach probably so sadly enough I see that as a way the owners can say "well, we have changed enough for now and revisit this conversation next year" -
He's an amazing player and was had for a great deal but to completely scoff at other signings is laughable
-
As much of a flawed concept as saying the reason he is the best signing in franchise history by a longshot is because he's the best player on a team currently (with absolutely no talent anywhere else)
-
I may be biased against Webster so I am downplaying it but I just can't stand such absolute statements as "easily best ever" when he has contributed to as many wins probably as JPP has fingers.
-
You're talking about an offense that has gone 5-25 though with him. KFC led the team to a 13-3 record. KVB was the 2nd "best" player on a defense that gave up over 17 pts the entire season three times. No they didn't necessarily hold the team together like Delanie has on offense but we're a shit team. I have a hard time saying that easily the best FA signing in franchise history is the cornerstone of what are some of the worst teams in franchise history. Those 2 guys were in the past 10 years even, I imagine there are many more too throughout the Oiler franchise
-
I don't think you can really say that based on top of their positions though... Look at the TE position, besides Gronk and Olson there are not many who are considered top TEs on even good offenses or good QB play. For a WR to have top tier production he has to have A LOT more things going his way than for TE. That being said, I would say Delanie is a larger part of our offense than Nate was but Fasano and Stevens are pretty much as large a part than any receiver too. I love Delanie and think he was a great signing too I just think others are going a bit overboard by saying he is obviously the greatest signing in our franchise.

How scary is the thought of Webster staying

I just posted in the previous webster thread on my thoughts, I don't see any realistic chance we get all the changes we need in one offseason and the simplest approach is to replace the HC now instead of complete change from top-bottom which is what is probably necessary in the long run. -
With 1/3rd of a Season Left, Websters Odds for Survival?
wiscotitansfan replied to Mercalius's topic in Titans and NFL Talk
In all seriousness though, unless we are interviewing people now. I see no way he gets fired simply because the logistics of finding a GM and head coach all in a few weeks at most. Pair that with the fact that ownership is still seemingly in turmoil, I can't figure out a way we as fans win in any scenario. Here is my prediction of what happens... We hire an offensive minded coach and keep all the coordinators the same on defense, We have a poor year next year and the owners decide to can the GM, that new GM then goes on to fire the coach the following year (year 3 of this situation) and we essentially are where we WANT to be in 2 months but this is a couple years down the line though. We are an inept organization who has a relatively bright future in terms of marketability, there is no way in hell the new owners would put up with a few terrible losing years and sell when they know a true promising face of the franchise is the most important aspect in terms of building a brand. -
EXPERT ANALYSIS I say Titansreport adopts the Rams in the NFC!
wiscotitansfan replied to OILERMAN's topic in Titans and NFL Talk
To say he has been great drafting on defense is also a bit comical, he has improved that side of the ball but with the amount of resources he has put into it you think they would be ranked higher than middle of the pack at best in really any category Edit: he may actually be drafting well in those positions because I personally really like the players but the team isn't producing and ultimately at the end of the day when you are underperforming that much, the trail most likely leads to the HC (whether that be due to poor hiring decisions where it is clear as day were up to him) -

wiscotitansfan replied to OILERMAN's topic in Titans and NFL Talk
I know you said you made it clear but those are egregiously firable mistakes and then some in the professional football world; I'm just pointing out how comical it is that you still defend him and even moreso, how he still has a job in the NFL after his past 4-7 years of coaching have looked. He literally has a fairly large resume of failure besides "overproducing" on terrible teams but at this point you can't even say that. -
Easily is a terribly strong word, you could easily argue that KVB, Collins and even Nate were just as good signings. Nate never led to wins but he was pretty much our only consistent piece of offense the whole time he was here (exactly like Walker's scenario). I personally think Walker will be the best signing but that doesn't mean he is there yet and especially not in his own stratosphere in even Titans history.

EXPERT ANALYSIS I say Titansreport adopts the Rams in the NFC!

CTF... So he drafted a run blocker before he had Gurley, skipped on plenty of QBs who have been solid to great in their young careers and drafted plenty of bust receivers relatively high in his tenure in STL. Just because Robinson is helping Gurley a lot doesn't mean it was even close to a good pick. All of this while he has one of the best defenses on paper with all the resources via high draft picks. He has literally gotten worse every single year he has been in STL (needs to win out to be 8-8) and hasn't been good since 2008 for us. Sure, he hasn't had any good QBs (or offenses) in damn near a decade but at what point are YOU going to not lay him as one of the only consistencies in that decade of failure? -
I assume you realize that he lost a bet so had to change it to that after the draft for at least a year. He used to be 520 and always bashed MM before the draft very vocally but he has been a huge fan since he saw him on gameday. I'm not sure if your post is sarcasm though because your post count is high enough to been on here regularly then.

How Nasty is This Throw from Mariota?
wiscotitansfan replied to Jonboy's topic in Titans and NFL Talk
@chef, EXACTLY! Everyone nationally is all jazzed up about the long run and Mariota proving he does have NFL speed but ultimately F that! This throw is the type of thing to build on that elite QBs need to do regularly. I am not crowning him just yet but I will actually be excited to see some QB cutups this offseason and just get myself excited. I just ordered my jersey for Hannukah but the real thing that convinced me he will be here for the long haul is how great he is in the RZ, not because he has potential to be a fantasy stud with his legs. -

...Followed by a Mett interception when he consequently got injured -
So he has legs essentially? Wright is really starting to piss me off and he is light years ahead of Douglas/McBride
